The so-called "son of Ma," etc., refers to Saturn, Jupiter, the auspicious star, the sun, and the fire of time. Here, in the common Kalachakra, the five hours of Cancer, as is known, the vowels such as the letter A, and the qualities and increase, the consonants expressed by long vowels will appear. On the five mandalas of Sagittarius, it is ཐྐ་ (thka), ཤ་ (sha), ཥ་ (Sha), ཝ་ (wa), ས་ (sa), that is, when the hours appear, the consonants are additional deities. Here, the vowel expressing the consonant will become the vowel of the consonant letter, and the vowel will become the life vowel. That life vowel should also be understood through the previously mentioned distinction of the moon's short and long duration and the distinction of the moment. The appearance of the consonant should be understood through the distinction of the Kalachakra hours. Here, in battle, if the life vowel disappears, one will die, and if the vowel of the letter disappears, one will be wounded, and the sick are death and affliction. Similarly, for any name whose first letter has no consonant, the vowel itself is the life vowel, and the other is the vowel of the letter. Thus, through the distinction of the mandalas descending from the left and right nostrils internally, the appearance of the consonant should be understood.
