It is the practice of mantra. As it is said, in the Later Collection: Whatever basis, is generated from the senses and objects, that mind is called "Mana". The letter "Tra" has the meaning of saving, from the worldly conduct, one is certainly liberated, whatever vows and precepts are spoken, are the mantra practice of all the saving Vajras. Thus it is said. Whatever mind is practiced by the senses and so on, that is the nature of mind, called "Mana". From reading the root "Man, is to know", the wisdom of emptiness is Mana. Abandoning its two obscurations and attaining the nature of Samantabhadra, is the meaning of saving, with the meaning of completely non-empty as "Tra". The wisdom of emptiness and compassion inseparable, only this is the meaning of mantra, it is its practice. There are also two kinds of world, namely ordinary people and noble ones. Among them, what is certainly liberated from the practice of ordinary people are vows and so on. What is liberated from the actions of noble ones are desires and so on. Protecting these is the practice of Samantabhadra. All Vajras, are the Tathagatas of the nature of yoga and so on. With the limb of mantra practice, it is mantra practice, for example, like the conventional truth mantras such as Om. The so-called "not other", means that other practices are not Samantabhadra, therefore it is not unsurpassed. Or read as "not", that is, or this is not practice, because in terms of ultimate truth, it is the nature of no practice. The so-called "spoken", is as said in the Prajnaparamita Sutra: "I practice Prajnaparamita, I do not practice Prajnaparamita" and so on. The so-called "first" and so on, is to declare and widely explain, such as "prostration" and so on. The Vajradhara master is the lama. The secret should be hidden practice, just as other beings cannot know, it should be relied upon at first, because it is the cause of all perfections. As the noble one said: Having known thus, the yogi, fearlessly practices all things, having practiced hidden asceticism, accomplishes all perfections. Thus it is said. Practicing all things, is because of obtaining excellent yoga. Whatever relies on
