It is because of arising. For that very reason, the Bhagavan is said to be inseparable from emptiness and compassion. Moreover, what should be meditated upon is also without object in the ultimate sense, that is, because all dharmas are regarded as without inherent existence and arise. Therefore, they should only meditate on that nature. The different names of means and wisdom are made by reversal. For that very reason it is said, "Unified." For that very reason, the two truths that cannot be made into two, are liberated by merely seeing, so for those who realize the stages of union, who are attached to the meditator, meditation, and what is to be meditated upon, it is said that there is none. "None," and so on. If so, then what transcends the object of meditation, the meditator, and the meditation, is unborn from the beginning, the body, speech, and mind of self-nature peace, the essence of the union of emptiness and compassion, is said to be the mind of enlightenment. That is, meditating on that very nature, that is, by which all discriminations are completely pacified. Thus, for all the dharmas that are empty in nature, there is no real meditation, and what is being shown is also like an illusion, in reality, meditation is not just meditation, because it is empty in nature and because of the nature of discrimination. It is only established in accordance with it. Thus, things like the form of a deity do not become the nature of what is to be meditated upon, because this

Therefore, it is to follow the teachings. As it is said: Even for those who are confused, it is for the sake of near needs, to dispel other confusions. Thus it is. Therefore, without discrimination, only by fully understanding all dharmas and constantly entering the ultimate truth, can it be called meditation. If so, I am now the one who accomplishes the two accumulations, and their fruits should also be enjoyed. If so, then the discriminating thought that I am the practitioner, the path is the abandoner, the two obscurations are to be abandoned, and what is to be taken is the Buddha, will not arise. If so, then there will be no entering or exiting in anything? It is true. Why? Because entering and exiting are not discriminations of the ultimate truth. As it is said: There is nothing, and so on. Before the time of directly realizing that true nature, what will cause my faults to be exhausted? Thus, entering the path of familiarity, one enters without hindrance. Entering and exiting exist only in name, because they are not the nature of that true reality. Because the mind, controlled by the habitual tendencies of beginningless ignorance, enters only into names that are not definitely familiar. Therefore, even when the path of seeing is attained, one still needs to rely on the path of meditation. Thus, how one proceeds in this meditation, the appearance of that, is explained. Like a Gandharva city and so on, all are perceived conventionally by the consciousnesses of the senses, but in the ultimate truth, because of the lack of inherent existence, there is nothing to be fixated upon, and that is how one proceeds. "Slightly abiding" is connected in this way. "The practitioners are also like that" is the remainder of the meaning. The mind of enlightenment also does not arise without the means of the nature of bliss, thus briefly showing the means. Like this and so on. Because one has not experienced the bliss of touch, one is a youth, up to the age of eighteen. Thus, a youth and a maiden are eighteen years old, as it is said in the Vinaya. When they enter into samadhi, just as great bliss arises, so too when a yogi enters into samadhi with wisdom. The difference is

For the sake of generating great bliss and for the sake of its continuous abiding, yogis and wisdom beings gather from the practice of immutability. This gathering is extensively shown, such as "བྷ་གར་ལིང་ག་རབ་བཞག་ནས།" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning), and "Meditate on the recollection of the Buddha." The Buddha is the Vajra of Bodhicitta, the Vajradhara. There, oneself and wisdom should also be meditated upon as its nature. The practitioner of the generation stage, through that stage, will hold that as the essence of Vajra Pride. The term "whatever wisdom" means great bliss. "Without beginning, middle, or end" means without conceptualization in the beginning, middle, or end. Because those characteristics of arising, abiding, and ceasing are not present in that very reality. Alternatively, the co-emergent that is close to joy, supreme joy, and special joy is non-conceptual. Moreover, as it is said, by meditating on the recollection of the Buddha, even in the state of non-absorption, one perfects yoga. "The view," and so forth, are examples of this. "Not by a mind gone elsewhere" refers to those whose minds are not distracted, but are singularly focused on that very reality. "Continuously" means without interruption. Even when not in meditative equipoise due to the intense activity of conceptual thought, those who are inclined to go only to the nature of Bodhicitta generate yoga in the non-equipoise state. The non-conceptual mind that is one with that very reality and has reached the ultimate is the yoga of meditative equipoise. All that turns away from that very reality is simply distraction. "This" refers to great bliss. "Supreme" is that which transcends the world, transformed through meditation. "All perfections are self-nature" means that the perfections such as generosity are of that very nature. Here, it is spoken of as the nature of the grounds such as the supremely joyful. "Supreme meditation" is in relation to the generation stage. Thus, having established the nature of cause and effect and pervasiveness, the meditation is again stabilized, as explained by "that nature" and so forth. "That nature" is great bliss. Reality, that is the nature of existence; non-reality, that is non-existence.
