As it is pure. The eyes purified by the three vajras. This refers to the purity of the hands, feet, face, and eyes. The sixteen emptinesses are: inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner and outer emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, great emptiness, ultimate emptiness, conditioned emptiness, unconditioned emptiness, emptiness beyond extremes, emptiness without beginning or end, emptiness without abandonment, emptiness of nature, emptiness of self-characteristic, emptiness of all dharmas, emptiness of non-apprehension, emptiness of the nature of non-things, emptiness of things, emptiness of non-things, emptiness of self-things, emptiness of other-things. In this emptiness of non-apprehension, the emptiness of things, the emptiness of non-things, the emptiness of self-things, and the emptiness of other-things are included, therefore there are sixteen emptinesses. The inner dharmas such as the eye are empty by the eye itself, therefore it is inner emptiness. The dharmas of external objects such as form are empty by form itself, therefore it is outer emptiness. The inner dharmas such as the eye are empty by the external dharmas such as form, and the external objects such as form are empty by the inner dharmas such as the eye, therefore it is inner and outer emptiness. The dharma of all dharmas being empty, all are empty, therefore it is emptiness of emptiness. The directions such as east are empty by the directions such as east, therefore it is great emptiness. Ultimate nirvana, because its emptiness is nirvana, therefore it is ultimate emptiness. The conditioned dharmas of the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm are empty by themselves, therefore it is conditioned emptiness. The unconditioned emptiness of arising and ceasing is empty by itself, therefore it is unconditioned emptiness. What is emptiness beyond extremes? That whose extreme is not apprehended is beyond extremes, and emptiness beyond extremes is said to be empty by emptiness beyond extremes.

This is emptiness beyond limits. Among them, what is emptiness without beginning and end? Whatever has no beginning and whose end is invisible, its middle is also non-existent. Whatever has no beginning and no end, therefore it is empty, hence it is emptiness without beginning and end. Emptiness without abandonment: whatever Dharma is abandoned, scattered, let go, and floated, it is the same, not empty by non-abandonment, hence it is emptiness without abandonment. What is the nature of conditioned and unconditioned Dharmas? It is empty by that, hence it is the emptiness of nature. Form and so on, and aggregates of form and so on, their own characteristics are emptiness. All Dharmas such as the five aggregates are empty by this and that, hence all Dharmas are emptiness. Future Dharmas do not exist in the past, and the future has no past. The Dharmas that arise in the present also do not exist in the past. The future and the past are not visible in the present, hence it is the emptiness of invisibility. The true combination of all Dharmas does not exist, and the true combination that arises dependently by nature, because of this combination, there is no object. The emptiness of essence, the combination is empty by nature, hence it is the essence of no object. Objects are the five aggregates that are taken. However, objects are empty by no object, hence objects are empty. No object is the unconditioned. Because it is empty by that, it is the emptiness of no object. One's own object is the unchanging nature itself, it is empty by this, hence it is the emptiness of one's own object. Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, whether they abide or not, this is the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas, the abiding nature of Dharma, the unchanging nature of Dharma, suchness, unchanging suchness, non-other suchness, the true limit, and the emptiness that they determine is the emptiness of other objects. Since there is no other than that, these four emptinesses are included in it, hence the sixteen emptinesses are taken. From the pure demon, the feet and so on are the very ones, that is, the aggregate demon holding the form of Brahma. Afflictions
