Here, they are classified sequentially. To explain, it will be shown in a particularly excellent manner. That itself is said: Certainly, of all things, Purity is said to be Suchness. Because it abides in this meaning, it is the meaning of things. The purity of those is a particularly excellent purity. What is it? It is Suchness, which is non-conceptual wisdom. "Of all" means of the stable and the moving. Both are completely determined by the nature of things themselves. Realizing that meaning, emptiness is the result of valid cognition. This is the ultimate purity. Afterwards, with individual distinctions, the gods also should be proclaimed. "Afterwards" means continuously following. "With individual distinctions" means individual forms. What are they? They are of the gods. The word "also" has a special meaning. To proclaim that itself again means to make it clear. Because it is the nature of characteristics, in the conventional truth, with the individual distinctions of the gods, the purity of the objects such as the five aggregates, elements, and sense bases, in the conventional truth, the aggregates and so forth are purified in the form of gods. Since the ultimate truth is also the form of Suchness, when the two sequences are meditated on inseparably, it is the teaching of perfect and complete enlightenment. Now, having shown the purity of the ultimate truth, which is generally explained by "certainly, of all things," then with "afterwards, with individual distinctions, the gods also should be proclaimed," the distinctions of things themselves are particularly shown. The five aggregates and six faculties, six sense bases and five great elements, are naturally completely pure. The six faculties are: the parts of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are the six faculties. The five aggregates are form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. The six sense bases are form, sound, smell, taste, touch, pleasure, and so forth. The five great elements are earth, water, fire, wind, and space. All of this, "naturally," means that from the very beginning it is the nature of being unborn, therefore it is completely pure and naturally luminous.

This is the complete purity of the ultimate truth. That very affliction, the obscuration of knowledge, is purified by the aspect of the deity. That is the purity of conventional truth. If there is no purity of self-awareness, which is the nature of both, then there will be no liberation. It is said: 'Self-awareness, the nature of purity itself, is not liberated by other purities.' This is how it is said. How is this so? It is said: 'Because the objects of the realm are pure, the bliss of one's own awareness is supreme.' 'Of the realm' means that the realm and so on are completely pure. 'Because the objects are pure' means that the nature of ultimate truth and conventional truth is pure in the form of a deity. Because it is the nature, what is self-awareness? Supreme bliss is perfect wisdom. When one realizes that the two are inseparable, then that is the meaning of becoming manifest. Therefore, what are the realms of form and so on? Moreover, what is seen by yogis? All those objects are pure, because they are the nature of the Buddha's going. The six aggregates of the realms of form and so on, and the six realms. What is 'moreover'? The six senses and the five great elements. All of this is the nature of yogis realizing the inseparability of the two. Whatever appears separately, that and all of that are the purity of the two. Because of what? Because of the cause. The nature of the Buddha is the nature of one wisdom. Going is the three realms. Whatever is impure, that is non-existent, all of it is the purity of the yogini. If it is pure by nature, then let it abide in the purity of ultimate truth. What is the use of purity in the form of a deity? Having placed such thoughts in his mind, Vajragarbha asked: 'O Blessed One, what is impure? What is to be purified in the form of a deity, that is, what is not to be done?' The Blessed One said: 'Form and so on.' Why? Because it is the obscuration of affliction and ignorance. Having briefly stated the obscuration of ignorance and affliction, he explained it in detail: 'Because of the object to be grasped and the grasper.' What are the object to be grasped and the grasper? The Blessed One said: 'The eye grasps form, the ear hears sound, the nose senses smell, the tongue tastes flavor.'
