From... arises from the accumulation of merit. Because of that very reason, it transforms by relying on the timing of the Lama, it comes from relying on the lineage of the Lama. Then, what is taught by him is also understood through the kindness of the Lama. Therefore, from the accumulation of merit, the accumulation of wisdom is taught. Or, what one knows is what one experiences oneself. The characteristic of what one experiences oneself is co-emergent. Since it is contradictory for oneself to do it, self-awareness is also emptiness. That co-emergent is not the object of the discriminating consciousness either. Thus, it is utterly beyond body, speech, and mind. How is the light? Merit is from the accumulation of merit, by closely relying on the timing of the Lama. The stages of the Lama become familiar, therefore, even if one is separated from the manifest enlightenment of the five stages, the true suchness will not arise. The first granting is also free from the eight worldly concerns. Then, again, abiding is the opposite of that. How is that? Like this, the wisdom that is inseparable from conventional and ultimate truth arises. The stages are to be generated by these stages. Then, the instructions are: that wisdom which is to be generated is that very one. All of this is entrusting the means of accomplishment of Mahamudra to the excellent. You too, in order to generate the meaning of going until reaching the essence of enlightenment, the power of faith, the power of mindfulness, the power of diligence, the power of wisdom, and the power of wisdom should not be abandoned, it is truly taken up. Thus, granting and abiding, stages and instructions, truly taken up, the five stages are all supremely taught from the kindness of the treatises. From the very kindness of the treatises, there is no other cause for supreme true wisdom that is taught. Only the co-emergent nature arises by combining the separate categories. Inferior and intermediate and supreme, and others and whatever those, those too, by meditating on that one taste, view all of this as equality. The inferior place is the meaning of subtle, the supreme is said to be existent, the nature of Madhyamaka that is free from the two extremes, other
