Nā pa. Thus, that is spoken of as the ultimate truth. Truth is suchness. The ultimate of those is the principal, because there is no meaning of suchness other than that, so is it contradictory to say here that self-awareness is the supreme suchness? Answer: Emptiness is said to be not even a little different. There is no nature in phenomena that is different from the nature of phenomena. However, that very suchness of the reality of phenomena that truly knows, is only the aspect of consciousness that is non-dual. That is also the supreme suchness here. Because that is the supreme suchness, it is said that self-awareness is the supreme suchness, so how can it be contradictory? Furthermore, among the suchness to be objectified, emptiness is supreme, but the supreme suchness of the objectifier and others is not. Again, self-awareness itself is the nature of the supreme suchness of all phenomena. Thus, self-truly knowing, because seeing the supreme emptiness among the suchness to be objectified, one also sees the nature, so the self-awareness that objectifies is the supreme suchness, but emptiness is not, because it is an inanimate object. Also, the other seven kinds of supreme suchness, namely the suchness of the result, the suchness of the cause, the suchness of action, the suchness of the path, the suchness of the agent, the suchness of the lord, and the suchness of the pervasive lord, those are self-awareness itself, spoken to show this, self-awareness and so on. The incomparable, extremely pure, and always blissful nature is great bliss, it is the supreme suchness of the fruit. Its explanation is great bliss, which is combined with self-awareness. The entity of that self-awareness is that, it is the meaning of that nature. Accomplishment is enlightenment, that arises from self-awareness itself. That is the supreme suchness of the cause, it is the meaning of the generator of accomplishment. The word "is" is a definite grasp. Self-awareness itself is meditation, therefore that is the supreme of the path

Therefore, this is the meaning of suchness. "From the nature of self-awareness" means that the very essence of self-awareness is the ultimate suchness. If asked, how is that karma? The answer is: like the phrase "from harm," and so on. Among them, karma is of two types: wisdom and complete abandonment. The exhaustion of afflictions and cognitive obscurations is abandonment. Wisdom is the nature of realizing all dharmas. From the phrase "from harm," and so on, abandonment is explicitly stated, while wisdom is implied. In some texts, it says "from realization," where wisdom and accomplishment are spoken of, while abandonment is implied. "Born from karma" means becoming karma, which is the nature of self-awareness. There is no difference between the path and the action of the path; the path is the action. The Bodhisattva is the agent, because he destroys those obscurations and generates wisdom. Therefore, the suchness of the agent is the Bodhisattva, who is the most perfect. It is also said to be one's own awareness, as it says: "One gathers oneself, one acts oneself." This means that there is no agent other than that. Whoever has perfect wisdom and abandonment is the best of all worlds, therefore the best of the world's lords, which is also that. To show this meaning, it is said, "One is oneself the king." Whoever is perfect in his own benefit, and is able to perfect the benefit of other sentient beings at all times and in all ways, is the best of the all-pervading lords, which is also that. To say this meaning, it is said, "One is oneself the master." Are these different from the five Tathagatas? No, it is not, therefore it is said, "Desire," and so on. Desire is Amitabha. Hatred is Akshobhya. Jealousy is Amoghasiddhi. Ignorance is Vairochana. Pride is Ratnasambhava. "That place" means the seventh in the sense of the sixth. This self-awareness itself abides, which is the state of great bliss, the meaning of the state of Vajradhara. Even sixteen parts cannot endure. It means that even sixteen parts cannot overcome. All the Tathagatas.
