Explanation of Chapter Eight. Ninth, Explanation of the Chapter on Collecting Mantras. In the phrase "thereafter," "separating combinations" means acting separately. In the phrase "merely knowing," "the practitioner who merely knows" refers to the fact that by preceding with great compassion, one will attain accomplishment, i.e., the Great Seal. In the phrase "that which is said should be practiced," one should generate great compassion for all sentient beings and act with the yoga of Heruka, with an angry and violent mind. "The Able One" refers to thinking of the benefit of others, i.e., the Able One, who is the Bhagavan Great Vajradhara. In the phrase "harming the doctrine," "living beings" refers to sentient beings. When dealing with those who engage in such harsh actions, first satisfy them, and even if they can be stopped by praying, if they cannot be stopped from the cause of suffering, at that time, if the phrase "please listen, Bhagavans" is added, then they will bestow compassion. Thereafter, the mantra practitioner, with a steadfast mind, according to the instructions, invites the assembly of deities residing in the body, speech, and mind of that person. Having requested the Buddhas who have entered one's own body, speech, and mind to return to their original positions, make that person's body like an empty house, make them look downwards, and observe them vomiting blood, trembling, and their hair disheveled. Visualize that in the heart of that person, the seed of fire burns like the fire at the end of an eon, unbearable, burning all parts of the body up to the top of the head. In the path that has been spoken, insert a burning needle, recite the mantra "Om Ghu Svaha (藏文:ཨོཾ་གྷུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ་,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ ghu svāhā,汉语字面意思:嗡 咕 梭哈)," and contemplate pulling out the root of the navel. After death, contemplate that the consciousness of that person, by the power of mantras and so on, is reborn in the pure land of Akshobhya, then here there will undoubtedly be accomplishment. If even those with great compassion act in this way, then how can those who make offerings and give alms decline? If it is said that there is no difference, it is not so. Those who engage in actions of body, speech, and mind that harm others due to attachment and so on are definitely unwholesome, and therefore will be reborn in the three lower realms.

It is, here, great compassion enters, liberating from attachment to self and what belongs to self, and transforming into emptiness, extracting the thorn of suffering, which is what is to be accomplished, becoming the cause of happiness in the next life. Thus, how could the actions of body and speech undertaken to benefit all sentient beings become non-virtuous actions, they are all virtuous. How can those who perform offerings with compassion be compared to the foolish actions of those who kill livestock and other animals because they desire to be reborn in higher realms? It is said: Those beings who are not vessels, desiring to make them vessels, protecting the teachings of compassion, not from hatred nor from attachment. And also said: If with one suffering, one wishes to remove the suffering of many, the compassionate one, for the sake of self and others, should remove those sufferings. The so-called "existence" refers to the arising of upper and lower realms, therefore "existence" is the mind. Its yogi is the four immeasurables, such as love, which are immeasurable, tamed by meditation and wisdom, becoming the nature of non-objectification, gaining mastery. The so-called "delightful" means that by the perfection of aspiration, it accomplishes the delight of all sentient beings, therefore it is delightful. Granting the accomplishment of non-discrimination, means that by perfecting the meaning of the higher realms of all sentient beings as a guide, thereby abandoning all discriminations, granting the supreme accomplishment of suchness. The so-called "Look, goddess," where "look" means to know. "Jewel" refers to the wish-fulfilling jewel. "A body adorned with a garland of radiance," refers to a body adorned with light that delights the minds of all sentient beings. Even so, sentient beings controlled by ignorance cannot see it. The so-called "one who is not pierced cannot," refers to a jewel that is not pierced, meaning one cannot comprehend the power of the wish-fulfilling jewel. The so-called "cannot" means that one cannot avert the suffering of poverty and other hardships of sentient beings. The so-called "pierced" refers to a jewe
