The so-called "drinking" and "non-drinking" refer to drinking, which is the water element, the speech vajra, and attachment to it. Non-drinking is the absence of that attachment, and both of these are the case. The so-called "going" and "non-going" refer to what is to be gone, which is attachment to the mind. Non-going is the absence of that attachment, meaning attachment and non-attachment to body, speech, and mind. Both are merely conceptual thoughts. Do not make it an object of thought through the door of doing and not doing, that is the meaning. If all thoughts are completely abandoned in that way, since there is no function of it in any way, then the conceptual thought of the guru and the conceptual thought of prostrating to him will also disappear in every way. To this doubt, it is said: Even if accomplishments are attained, what kind of student? A manifestor of true wisdom. Because of the cause of abandoning without interruption, the accomplished one also prostrates to the guru. The meaning of this is that, for the time being, engaging in the activity of practice, delighting in being accustomed to non-conceptual thought, even if accomplishments are attained, it is the attainment of the mudra's accomplishment. It is accomplished precisely for that reason. That student who has become like that also prostrates to the guru-teacher, prostrating in every way. Why prostrate? Because of the cause of abandoning without interruption. Otherwise, he will also fall into the great hell of uninterrupted suffering. Or, "Even if accomplishments are attained," even if the accomplishment of the great mudra is attained, one will certainly be liberated from the various conceptual thoughts of self and mine, etc., and one's own nature will be selflessness. The student yogi who has become like that also prostrates to the guru, prostrating in every way and abiding in the nature of offering. Guru means Vajradhara, which refers to the guru himself being Vajradhara, and oneself also being selflessness. Therefore, what is accomplished from thinking that the two are inseparable is non-conceptual wisdom, the manifestation of true wisdom. It is the nature of the joy of true wisdom. For what purpose? Because of the cause of abandoning without interruption. Because there is no wave of harm, it is uninterrupted selflessness. Abandoning it is completely abandoning it, because of that cause, because of that cause.
