Now, the nature of reality is being explained. My substance is between thought and mind itself. Whatever is the nature of that itself, it is just like that. It is also said like that: Whatever sentient beings themselves experience through seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, and so on, all those are the nature of their own mind itself. Therefore, wherever and with whatever one sees and so on, in that very place, that very own mind itself is not at all different from one's own mind itself. In whatever way happiness and so on appear, and colors like blue appear, those are the forms of those minds themselves. Moreover, enemies and grasping, and actions and non-actions, and the forms of the Tathagatas and so on, are also the nature of those minds themselves. What is said as mind itself is that these demons are mind itself. Mind itself is the Tathagata. One's own mind is for the purpose of taming. The demons should be pacified. It comes from these words. If that is the case, what are sentient beings who are not liberated like? It is said: Those and so on, that is, those who go in common have the very nature of great bliss. However, such self-awareness, the feeling of experiencing oneself, does not exist, because it is grasped by ordinary forms. They are also grasped like grasping demons, because of realization. Because things are grasped after realization, but ordinary people do not realize the nature of things and do not understand. Things are also liberated after being meditated upon, but if one does not meditate in that way, the nature will not appear. From seeing the nature, things are seen, because the nature itself is liberation. That will also be explained: The nature itself is Nirvana. The co-emergent nature is also not grasped, because of the manifestation of grasping and so on. Therefore, it is said: It will be accomplished from self-awareness. Among them, self-awareness is because one truly knows oneself with its great bliss. Therefore, it is the accomplishment of the Great Seal. Just by realization, what then?

If asked, how does one become a true accomplishment? The answer is: Self-awareness itself is meditation. (Tibetan: རང་རིག་ཕྱིར་ན་བསྒོམས་པ་ཉིད།) This means that there is no accomplishment other than meditating on self-awareness itself. It means that contemplating the reality of the co-emergent nature deities will grant liberation. The statement that virtuous and non-virtuous actions are co-emergent nature means the nature of self-awareness. Although this is so, how does one become liberated? The answer is: From harm, action arises. (Tibetan: གནོད་པ་ལས་ནི་ལས་སྐྱེས་ཏེ།) Here, harm refers to conceptualization, which means attachment. This is because the co-emergent is obscured by the obscuration of knowledge and cannot be seen, thus the appearance of action arises from the co-emergent itself. Just like someone with cataracts sees clusters of hair on the surface of the pure sky that are not real. What is meant by "who takes away" is the co-emergent joy that destroys karma and afflictions from oneself. What is meant by "doing it oneself" is also creating karma and afflictions, meaning that one causes liberation and samsara oneself. What is meant by "oneself is the king" is the nature without attachment to samsara and nirvana, abiding in non-abiding nirvana, which is oneself. What is meant by "oneself is the lord" is that oneself pervades oneself. Alternatively, from oneself emanates the mandala, and holding oneself, etc., destroys attachment to these. Oneself is the lord of the mandala, therefore is the king, meaning that oneself pervades stability and movement. Now, the liberation from the obscuration of afflictions will be discussed, starting with desire, etc. Desire is attachment to the need for the activities of samsara. Hatred is complete mental torment. Jealousy is the inability to tolerate the virtues of others. Ignorance is the obscuration of knowledge, which is the nature of perceiving the five aggregates, etc., as permanent and as self. Pride is mental arrogance, because of which one considers the five aggregates as self, and is proud of the difference and self of "I am I." Because of this, one considers the five aggregates as self.
