It is not that there is absolutely no mantra recitation and so on. Although this is the case, the nature of grasping and being grasped, etc., does not exist, but rather it abides in a state of non-attachment to appearances. It is thought that in this way, one attains complete enlightenment. This verse is the fifth fire-māra. These are the tenth chapter, the chapter on empowerment, from the Explanation of the Hevajra Tantra. Eleventh: The Chapter Explaining the Manner of Looking. In order to explain the manner of looking that was briefly taught in the first chapter, the eleventh chapter is taught. In "Equally," etc., "Equally" is a distinction of the rigid manner of looking. The manner of looking that causes falling is taught. "Unruly" is through the door of fierce actions. "Having a forehead" is the two doors of the distinction of place. Causing to fall is causing to fall in that way. Falling is also a term of name from the door of action. Empowerment is taught. In "Empowerment," etc., "Two" is the eyeballs, saying "two" means that both eyeballs are turned to the left. It is to be understood that the latter ones are also to be understood in the same way. Summoning is taught. In "Summoning," etc., combining summoning with the manner of looking means that the two eyeballs are also to be compared. Therefore, the two eyeballs of the right side are also to be turned and looked at. From above also, it is said that the two eyeballs are combined, just like the manner of looking of the falling eyeballs, they are to be combined on the forehead. Therefore, that "forehead" itself is taught. The rigid is explained as "Central channel," etc., being separated from showing to the left, etc., is equal, therefore it is the central channel. "The end of the two nasal pillars" is to be understood as the two eyeballs abiding in the central channel of the two nostrils, that is, in a state of equality. Moreover, in empowerment, one should look at the red हो (Tibetan, Devanagari ho, Romanized ho, Literal meaning: ho) or हि (Tibetan, Devanagari hi, Romanized hi, Literal meaning: hi). In the manner of looking of summoning, one should look at the red हूं (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized hūṃ, Literal meaning: hum) or ज (Tibetan, Devanagari ja, Romanized ja, Literal meaning: dza). In rigidity, one should look at the yellow लं (Tibetan, Devanagari laṃ, Romanized laṃ, Literal meaning: lam) or हूं (Tibetan, Devanagari hūṃ, Romanized hūṃ, Literal meaning: hum). In falling, one should look at the black फट् (Tibetan, Devanagari phaṭ, Romanized phaṭ, Literal meaning: phat). Because it is said that one should become accustomed to falling, etc., through the combination of the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, etc., therefore it is said, "By the elements themselves, one causes to fall," etc., which is easy to understand.

The so-called "vajra tree" refers to trees that are oily. The so-called "with movement" refers to having the quality of shaking. This is because, for a long time, continuously practicing with reverence causes the yogi's view to become excellent and accomplished. Therefore, it is said, "Six months," and so on. The so-called "one should not be confused about this" means that here, one is confused by such a mind, that is, one is confused in mind about cause and effect, action and agent, that is, one does not act now. How is it known? Because it is said, "inconceivable," that is, the view is the accomplisher, and what is accomplished is the blessing. The so-called "should not think" means that one should not think about the nature of what is to be accomplished and the accomplisher, and one should also not think about what arises from views that contradict teachings and reason, such as what is to be accomplished like empowerment. It means that one should practice faultless views. What is that? It is said, "Buddha," that is, the one who has realization of the co-emergent dharma of all things is the Buddha, who is the previous yogi. What is the meaning of his blessing? It is said, "miraculous power," that is, those are enjoyed by accomplished yogis. Moreover, doing it with the mind that needs to be enjoyed in song and dance, etc., there is nothing for the virtuous and wise, but it is to lead beings into (the Dharma). This is also the meaning of the ninth letter. One can also add, "beings enter their own doctrine." So, how do beings enter? Is it because of falling, etc., death itself? To refute that, it is said, "Here, one should not kill." The so-called "action" refers to harming and deceiving, etc., that is, one should not do those. However, because it is not manifestly desired to happen, that is why it is said. The so-called "vow," etc., the vows of the Buddhas are to perfectly accomplish the determination of the benefit of beings. Its violation is merely not abiding. It means seeing the power of trees, etc., falling, etc., and for the sake of guiding unruly beings, and also the remaining empowerment, etc. After abandoning deceiving sentient beings, all that should not be done should be done.
