etc., due to clinging. Therefore, it is said: "From self-awareness, it will be accomplished." Here, self-awareness is the correct realization of that great bliss itself. Therefore, it is the accomplishment of Mahamudra. How can mere realization become accomplishment? It is said: "For the sake of self-awareness, one meditates." This means that there is no accomplishment other than meditating on self-awareness itself. It means that contemplating the inherent nature of the deities as objects will grant liberation. It is said that virtuous and non-virtuous actions are of the inherent nature. This means, "from the nature of self-awareness." Although it is so, how can one be liberated? It is said: "From harm, action arises." Here, harm is conceptual thought, which means clinging. Moreover, the co-emergent is obscured by the obscuration of knowledge and cannot be seen. Therefore, from the co-emergent itself, the appearance of action arises. Just as for someone with cataracts, bundles of hair appear in the pure nature of space from what is not true. "Who steals" refers to the co-emergent joy that destroys karma and afflictions from oneself. "One does oneself" means that one also does karma and afflictions, meaning that one does liberation and samsara oneself. "Oneself is the king" refers to the nature without clinging to samsara and nirvana; oneself is the one who abides in non-abiding nirvana. "Oneself is the lord" means that oneself pervades oneself. Alternatively, from oneself, mandalas are emanated, and clinging to those very things, such as oneself holding them, is destroyed. Oneself is the lord of the mandala, therefore one is the king, meaning that oneself pervades the stable and the moving. Now, liberation from the obscurations of afflictions is explained, starting with desire, etc. Desire is attachment to the need for samsaric activities. Hatred is complete mental torment. Jealousy is intolerance of others' qualities. Ignorance is the obscuration of knowledge, which is knowing the five aggregates of grasping, etc., as permanent and as self.

It is the nature of [things]. Pride is the arrogance of the mind, because in this way the five aggregates are arranged as self, and (it is thought) that the difference between me or self, and one is proud of that and that self. Because in this way the five aggregates are arranged as self, and (it is thought) that the difference between me or self, and makes one proud of that and that self. That is divided into seven types, as follows: Pride is, because knowledge, caste, wealth, etc. are inferior to oneself, (one) thinks that caste, etc. are high. Excessive pride is, because caste, knowledge, wealth, etc. are the same, (one) thinks that generosity, discipline, husband, etc. are good. Pride of pride is, because caste, knowledge, wealth, etc. are good, (one thinks) caste, knowledge, wealth, etc. are good. The pride of thinking "I am" is, for the aggregates of close grasping that are separate from oneself and others, clinging to the thought that it is oneself, manifesting attachment and pride. Manifest pride is, for not having obtained the qualities of superiors, (one) is inwardly proud, thinking that one has actually obtained them. The pride of thinking slightly is, for those who are particularly superior in knowledge, caste, wealth, etc., (one) thinks that caste, knowledge, wealth, etc. are slightly inferior to oneself. Wrong pride is, for what is not a quality, (one) is inwardly proud, thinking that it has qualities. Like that, the afflictions of desire, in that place, even sixteen parts do not work. It is related to this. Its sound is co-emergent. The place is wisdom, by which afflictions are exhausted and one proceeds to the state of fruition. That itself is both the state of fruition and the place, it is the meaning of co-emergent wisdom. The joy of experience also comes from the incomparable itself. That which is accompanied by co-emergence, is not something that can be equipped with the instruments of sixteen parts. Because the moon is sixteen times, its part is also sixteen, so sixteen parts also work. That is also, because in reality it does not do anything, therefore those afflictions do not exist, that is the meaning. The part of the energy of actually doing things is also not there, that is what is thought. In the wisdom born from the origin of Dharma, Dharma is the original, it is the nature of all things. That also has one and many, etc.
