Please pacify all diseases, sufferings, and obscurations. Please avert all enemies, obstacles, and those who lead astray. Please grant the complete abundance of life, glory, prosperity, and power. Please bestow all mundane and supramundane accomplishments without exception. You are the secret and sacred treasury, from the great gate of vast bliss, may the lineage of accomplishment and activity nectar be born. I confess the broken samaya (vow) of the body of glorious Vajra Mahakala (Great Black One) along with his consort, servants, praisers, and retinue, and all the oath-bound ocean of protectors, such as the powerful lord of magic, Chaturmukha Mahakala (Four-Faced Great Black One), and their retinues. I confess the broken samaya of speech, I confess the broken samaya of mind, I confess all broken samayas of body, speech, and mind, both root and branch. Please purify and cleanse all accumulations of sins, obscurations, faults, and stains. Then, bless the offering substances with Amrita (nectar): Om Svabhava Shuddho Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham. From emptiness, arises a fierce dwelling, a palace with walls of dry human heads, a half-net of intestines hanging down, with a dark purplish-black door, above which waves a victory banner and a banner of human corpses. Inside, complete with all characteristics, in a white skull cup born from Ah (seed syllable), wide and vast, having summoned and slain the enemies and obstructors of outer, inner, and secret levels, is a heap of flesh, blood, and bones, like a mountain and an ocean. There is blood for offering water, flowers of the five senses, incense of great fat, a butter lamp of melted tallow, mixed washing water, food of flesh and bones, and various musical instruments such as thighbone trumpets and skull drums. Furthermore, from each dark blue Hum (seed syllable) arise black birds, black horses, black yaks, black sheep, black dogs, and black people, all complete with faculties and adorned with ornaments, tigers, leopards, armor, silks, and so on, outer and inner samaya substances, actually present and mentally emanated, becoming a cloud of offerings that pleases the glorious Vajra Mahakala and his consort, and all the oath-bound ocean of protectors, filling the expanse of the sky. Om Sarva Vid Pura Pura Sura Sura Avartaya Avartaya Ho Vajra Spharana Na Kham Svaha. Play musical instruments, or ring bells, burn thick incense, wave with a black silk cloth, accompanied by a mournful melody, or even without it. Hum! In order to subdue all that is unruly, gathering together the wisdom activity body of all the victorious ones, manifesting as a wrathful form, Vajra Mahakala!
