If it is necessary to protect the lord of the world, then contemplate as follows: To the right, imagine a son and wife; to the left, siblings; behind, servants and students; and below, wealth, houses, fields, and so on. Within the hook of the syllable Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable), visualize the first letter of your own name. To its right, left, front, and back, as before, visualize the first letters of the names of your parents and others, arranged like the teeth of a comb. This constitutes the protection of body and speech. Then, visualize yourself as the great black one, and from your heart, radiate light. Invoke the minds and consciousnesses of the lama and those to be protected in the form of their respective names and the first letters of their names, and dissolve them into the names and first letters within the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable), thus completing the three aspects of body, speech, and mind. Imagine the twelve-syllable mantra, the seven-syllable mantra, and the root mantras surrounding the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable) and those to be protected, forming a garland of mantras. As light radiates from the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable) in your heart, it fills the bodies of yourself and those to be protected, expelling all illnesses, evil influences, and defilements. Visualize all the pores of your skin filled with blue vajras, each the size of a mustard seed. This is the protection of the body. Visualize the tongues of yourself and those to be protected as blue, five-pronged vajras, with all the spaces between them filled with vajras the size of mustard seeds. This is the protection of speech. Visualize your own mind, the lama's mind, and the minds of those to be protected as inseparable, and maintain them in a state that does not stray from the meaning of the ocean of reality. This is the supreme protection of the mind, thus protecting body, speech, and mind. Again, as light radiates from the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable) in your heart, it strikes the wheel of existence, causing it to turn to the right, and imagine that enemies and obstacles are reduced to ashes. The wrathful deities remain in the sky, unmoving. Again, as light radiates from the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable), it strikes the worldly protectors of the outer realms, causing them to offer their life-force and accomplish activities involuntarily. Again, as light radiates from the Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：seed syllable), it strikes the ten wrathful deities and the protectors of the outer realms, along with their protective circles. From all of them, emanate weapon-wielding messengers and immeasurable rays of light like the fire at the end of an eon, pervading the entirety of the three thousand worlds. All enemies and malevolent forces that harm the Buddha's teachings, the upholders of the teachings, all sentient beings, and the yogi are burned by fire, cut by weapons, and their flesh and blood are consumed by the emanated messengers. Their consciousnesses vanish into the realm of Dharma. Repeatedly imagine that all curses, spells, and suppressions directed at you are burned by fire and scattered by the wind.
