Visualize holding the barwa (Tibetan: བར་བ།, a type of ritual dagger) and the three-pointed kartrika (Tibetan: རྩེ་གསུམ།), with the ends of the two entwined around the stake of Mount Meru (Tibetan: རི་རབ།), in the lap adorned with charnel ground ornaments, embracing the great mother Cakrasamvara (Tibetan: ཡུམ་ཆེན་འཁོར་ལོ་རྒྱས་འདེབས་མ།, Sanskrit: Cakrasamvara), blue with one face and two arms. Holding a wheel in the right hand and a skull cup of blood in the left. Adorned with bone ornaments and in union. With a posture of four legs stretched out, visualize becoming each of these. Again, light radiates from the heart of the master, visualize dispelling all obstacles and wrong views that obstruct your empowerment, and then throw the vajra. Recite Kīlaya (Tibetan: ཀཱི་ལ་ཡ།) three times. Then, the master touches your three places with the vajra containing scented water, visualize protecting all obstacles of body, speech, and mind. As the master touches each disciple's forehead, throat, and heart, apply a drop of scented water with the middle finger of the right hand, reciting Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: Om, Literal Meaning: Om), a white Om appears on the forehead; reciting Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: Āḥ, Literal Meaning: Ah), a red Ah appears on the throat; reciting Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Literal Meaning: Hum), a blue Hum appears on the heart, visualize all of this clearly appearing. After reciting, the three letters appearing in your three places emit immeasurable white, red, and blue light, inviting the blessings and power of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, and the Dakas and Dakinis, transforming into three letters and white, red, and blue light, merging into the three letters in your three places. Purify all ordinary body, speech, and mind, visualize body, speech, and mind being blessed into the nature of the Vajra of body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas. Thus, visualizing and blessing yourselves as deities is itself an excellent object of offering. First, visualize offering flowers on the head. Then, scatter grains such as rice on the heads of the disciples, reciting Om Vajra Puspe Ah Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་པུཥྤེ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit: Oṃ Vajra Puṣpe Āḥ Hūṃ, Sanskrit Romanization: Om Vajra Puspe Ah Hum, Literal Meaning: Om, Vajra, Flower, Ah, Hum). Similarly, use incense to fumigate the nose, offer light to the eyes, and sprinkle scented water on the heart with a sprinkler. After making such extensive offerings, in order to examine the signs of accomplishment, it is necessary to give a toothpick. Purify the toothpick with water from the vase and Krodha Amrita (Tibetan: ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ།, Wrathful Nectar), and empty it with Svabhava (Tibetan: སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ།, Self-nature). From emptiness, from the letter Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Literal Meaning: Hum), arises a twelve-finger-long toothpick, with a flower on top, to examine the signs of accomplishment of the Vajra disciples. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Become endowed with power. Recite 'ཀཱི་ལ་ཡ་དང་། ཨོཾ་ཛི་ཧོཿབཛྲ་སཾ་བརྟ་ནི་སྭཱཧཱ།' (kī la ya dang / Om dzi hoḥ badzra sam bar ta ni svāhā) about three times. That blessed piece of wood, please place it between your folded palms, with the intention of giving. After reciting the mantra 'ཛི་ཧོཿ' (dzi hoḥ), visualize this piece of wood made of precious gold or silver. By rubbing the fresh tip of the wood, visualize all the sins and obscurations accumulated from beginningless samsara being purged, just as a skilled doctor administers an emetic. Arrange the ranks and place your feet on this eight-petaled lotus, facing the guru, and say 'ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཧ་ས་ཧ་' (Om badzra ha sa ha), requesting to throw it onto the central pile. As each disciple throws, say: 'Pointing to the east means the pacifying activity will be accomplished.' Likewise, according to the direction the tip points, predict in order from bottom to top. After everyone has thrown, if the tip of the wood points to oneself and the guru, one will attain the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra; pointing to the east means pacifying; pointing to the south means enriching; pointing to the west means magnetizing; pointing to the north means increasing; pointing upwards means sky-faring; pointing downwards means seeing treasures underground, and so on. Pointing to the corners means one will obtain various accomplishments such as a good vase.' Thus, examine the signs of accomplishment. Between the guru blessing the wood and distributing it to the disciples, the Karma Vajra should apply fragrant water in the center of a four-cubit area in front of the guru, place a large pile of barley, and place small piles of barley in the eight directions to identify the directions, without confusion, and then throw the wood. Its activity is to face the teacher, and on the desired eight-petaled white lotus, draw where the disciple places his feet. Fifth, to purify, give a handful of water: mix fragrant water in a conch shell, and bless it by reciting 'ཀི་ལ་ཡ་དང་།' (ki la ya dang) and the three seed syllables three times. That blessed fragrant water, please receive it three times in your right palm, and with this, visualize all sins and obscurations being cleansed and purified.' Thus, give three handfuls of fragrant water, reciting 'ཨོཾ་ཧྲཱིཿབི་ཤུདྡྷེ་སརྦ་དྷརྨ། སརྦ་པཱ་པཾ་ནིཤྩ་སྱ་སཾ་ཤོ་དྷ་ཡ། སརྦ་བི་ཀལྤན་ཨ་པ་ན་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ།' (Om hrīḥ bi śuddhe sarba dharma / sarba pāpaṃ niśca sya saṃ śo dha ya / sarba bi kalpa na a pa na ya hūṃ) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
