Because it is said (in the scriptures) 'the gates are sixteen,' and (in the scriptures) it is not said 'within the surrounding, the longitudinal gates are seventeen.' If one considers the number of gates to be seventeen, to which of the three purifications—outer, inner, and ultimate purity—does the extra gate belong? If one says it belongs to the mandala of emptiness and compassion, that is not acceptable. Because the dimensions of the mandala of emptiness and compassion are fixed: thirty-two large parts, sixteen gates, and eight cubits. Exceeding or falling short is not permissible. If one says it belongs to the surrounding circles, that is also not acceptable, because those are fixed at eight gates and four cubits. Exceeding or falling short is not permissible. Therefore, not belonging to any of the three purifications, where and to whom does this extra gate do anything? It is merely a manifestation of insane wisdom. Similarly, the first of the surrounding circles touching the top of Hayagriva (马头金刚,Wrathful deity with a horse head) is also a manifestation of insane wisdom. Because the first of the earth's surrounding circles must begin immediately after the measuring line ends, and the measuring line has already occupied two-thirds of the top of Hayagriva, with one-third remaining unoccupied. Although there are eighteen gates from edge to edge of Hayagriva, there are only sixteen gates from edge to edge of the measuring line and colored earth. Therefore, one-third of Hayagriva does not have its own measuring line. Then, Hayagriva becomes three gates, but each of their measuring lines occupies only two gates. For those who have not distinguished these scopes, everything up to the top of the vase is merely a dark illusion, because it contradicts the certainty that 'the thread mandala is twice as large.' Moreover, 'the thread mandala is twice as large' is said for the purpose of placing only the measuring line. Therefore, the great scholars have explained this well. Then, (someone might ask) isn't it contradictory that the Hayagriva of speech and mind are occupied by their respective measuring lines up to the top of the vase? This is not a well-researched statement. Even though the Hayagriva of speech and mind are also occupied by their respective measuring lines, there are only two gates each. But it seems as if the measuring lines occupy more, because the measuring lines of the inner mandala each complete sixteen gates, and then at the end connect to the measuring lines of the outer mandala, each with their respective number of gates... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, some mistakenly believe that the sixteen (mandalas) are all the same, each occupying its radius up to the top of the stable. In reality, the situation is this: in the third level of the stable, between the intoxicated guardians, each of their gate widths is separated from its radius. Although it is said that the gate width of the stable is three times, the radius actually occupied is twice the width of each gate. Therefore, those who want to circumnavigate the earth from the top of the stable lack clear cognition and have many obstacles. As it is said: 'Within the circumference, there are sixteen gates.' It is not said that there are eighteen gates. The colors and radii are also complete. Before reaching the circumference, if the open space and gate width are classified into which of the three levels, then analyzing it as before will become very bad. If it is not related to vast knowledge, no matter how many stones there are, they are just dead objects. If it is not related to scripture and logic, no matter how much self-creation there is, it is just dead matter. If it is not related to pure knowledge, no matter how much deception there is, it is just dead matter. This is a half and two meaningful verses. Similarly, for those who want to regard offerings such as lotuses and vases as having direction and color, the scriptures of the Completion Stage will constitute an obstacle. As it is said: 'Between the skull cup and the earth, how should offerings be placed to be beautiful?' This sentence negates the fixedness of color and also negates the fixedness of direction and color. Furthermore, if someone asks: 'Does the ground of offering have direction and color?' The answer is: 'The offerings have direction and color.' This is like 'What are the five?' 'These are the ten.' It is an irrelevant answer. Therefore, if the offerings are given direction and color, then do their bases also have direction and color as a result? When establishing the conclusion of the final offering, it would be great to further study the scriptures and logic. In the commentary on the forty-seventh section of the Empowerment Chapter, it says: 'The color classification of the Tathagata Buddha is the basis of all pigments.' This sentence and the clear scriptures quoted earlier, such as 'will be universally present,' negate Thangkas, walls, and... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
