Having vigorously stoked the fire, the sitting posture of the Dharmakaya is like a lion: the body stretches out, the soles of the feet are placed flat on the ground, the fingers are curled and pointed inwards, the upper body is erect like a lion, the strength is concentrated on the neck, and the eyes of Dharma are directed towards the sky. The merit of this body posture is: the karmic winds cease, the winds of wisdom increase, and the appearance of Dharmata naturally arises. It is especially excellent for practitioners who have excessive body heat and dull consciousness, and for places with low-lying terrain. Furthermore, the sitting posture of the Sambhogakaya is like an elephant: the knees are folded and close to the chest, the toes are stretched outwards (stretch adjustment), the elbows are planted on the ground, relying on the hidden part of the fingers, the neck is slightly raised upwards, and the eyes look askance at the void. The merit of this body posture is: the body warms up, the wandering thoughts subside, and one abides in the understanding of the inseparability of emptiness and awareness. It is especially auspicious for yogis whose body temperature is balanced, and for places with medium-high terrain. Furthermore, the sitting posture of the Nirmanakaya is like a hermit sitting cross-legged: the shanks of both legs are aligned, the knees are cross-legged, the hands are crossed, the knees are close to the chest, the body is upright, the neck is slightly straightened, the eyes are slightly lowered, aligned with the tip of the nose, and focused on the light. The merit of this body posture is: the elements are balanced, the breath is slow, wisdom quickly arises, and one abides in the state of inseparability of emptiness and awareness. This posture is especially auspicious for yogis who are prone to cold and for those who live in high places. If the body posture remains still, merit will quickly arise. If the body posture is incorrect, Nirvana without remainder will not be achieved. Therefore, one must pay attention to the body posture. Gya Gya Gya (藏文,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:). The activity of speech is to reduce words and focus on expressing necessary words. Do not say too much nonsense, try to maintain long periods of silence. Sometimes, recite your own practices with a slow and clear voice, do not mix speech with others, and if something is important, use some simple bodily gestures. Finally, stop all activities and remain silent like a mute. The necessity of doing so is that the unspeakable meaning will arise in the mind. Gya Gya Gya (藏文,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:). Next, the key to the mind is to focus attention on the target, prevent the eyes from moving, squint, and lower the eyelids.

Without wavering from the three key points, without being distracted by the outer expanse of empty space, when gazing, the stains of conceptual mind are transcended, all mental fabrications are surpassed, and the need to sever all verbal embellishments is fulfilled. Gya Gya Gya (藏文,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:). Then, relying on the three key points, manifest realization must directly dawn upon oneself: the key point of the door is focus, the key point of the object is a clear, cloudless sky, the key point of the wind is extreme slowness. Relax outward slightly, and allow whatever appears to remain in that state. The meaning is that one's own awareness, in the center of the heart, its essence is the Body, its nature is Light, and its compassion is complete with signs and features, dwells luminously in clear, empty self-liberation. From the heart, a vein like a fishbone, like a white silk thread, pierces the door of the eye, and from there, a path appears in the outer expanse of space. This is the appearance of the direct experience of reality: in the place of gazing, a light called "the lamp of pure space" appears, like a rainbow or a peacock feather. Within it, thigle empty lamps, like ripples from a stone thrown into swirling water, appear as many awarenesses, like mustard seeds or beans. Within that, a vajra chain like a string of pearls threaded through a horse's tail, or like a single iron chain, or like a net or half-net moved by the wind, two-linked or three-linked, etc., appear as white and shimmering. This is the essence of self-luminous awareness, called seeing the single thigle. Gya Gya Gya (藏文,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:). Furthermore, without wavering from the basis of Trekchö, the Great Perfection of Primordial Purity, when practicing in a state free from attachment and desire, space and awareness are sometimes clear and sometimes unclear, and then suddenly arise in the expanse of space, without ever leaving the sight. The thigle, even as small as a bean, and the five lights, appear as: subtle, coarse, clear, shimmering, and beautiful and magnificent. The thigle and tiny thigle are like a brocade tent, like the colors of a peacock feather, like the shape of a fish eye, like lightning, like hail, upright and radiating, like an auspicious knot or a blazing jewel, and like valleys filled with the shape of fish eyes, and the thigle will also increase in size. Furthermore, in the realm of light, the thigle will also greatly increase.
