Immediately upon liberation, in an instant, they proceed to the realm where the intrinsic purity of the body and wisdom are inseparable, and perform deeds to benefit beings. As stated in the 'Extensive Treatise': 'Through the three attainments, the contaminated aggregates naturally dissolve, gaining self-mastery over birth itself. The appearance of the aggregates naturally ceases, and coarse matter becomes invisible. If one wishes to benefit sentient beings, by pointing with one's own fingers, appearances reverse themselves, and all purposes are accomplished. Awareness naturally enters, and liberation moves and changes. One gains self-mastery over entering. Direct awareness to one's own fingers. In an instant, becoming invisible, one is a Buddha.' And as stated in the 'Teaching to the Son': 'When one reaches the place where the inner body is exhausted, fingers and so on appear as they are. Directing this, the elements naturally clear. Through the distinction of birth and entering, in the self-nature of the exhaustion of all dharmas, without holding onto anything, abiding is the emanation body. This is due to the power of entering. Whoever gains self-mastery over birth, by directing it to that, and acting in this way again, the natural sound of appearance, like a tinkling bell, appears reversed and seems confused. Through this, all the purposes of sentient beings are accomplished. Because awareness is equally one, the great transformation of sentient beings in the three thousand worlds is accomplished through this. Likewise, gradually and simultaneously, the body is accomplished through this. All of them are liberated from the measure of the exhaustion of the body. All of this is the definite result, the supreme ground, the great mandala is accomplished.' Therefore, having gained self-mastery over external appearances, the appearances arise in the pure lands, and there is no obstruction by mountains and rocks. Having gained self-mastery over the internal illusory body, coarse matter is purified into clear light, and one is not affected by the harm of the elements. The secret is that by gaining mastery over the winds and mind, one has unobstructed clairvoyance. Wherever awareness is directed, it enters, and the mind is liberated into the Dharmakaya. These arise from the activity of purifying the winds and mind, and although they are counted as one in general, there are three internal divisions. In the 'Garland Treatise' it says: 'When awareness arises, causes and conditions cease. When clear light arises, coarse and subtle cease. When the wisdom of space arises, objects and mind cease.' And in the 'Sound Tantra' it says: 'By fixing the nail of the three attainments, the contaminated aggregates become invisible.' And in the 'Buddha's Last Testament' it says: 'Birth and entering, and winds and mind, whoever gains self-mastery over them, finds the warmth of the Buddha's intention.'

Thus it is said. In the Extensive (Treatise): By gaining mastery over the very nature of wind and mind, One obtains all the qualities of wind. When sinful beings transmigrate, insert awareness. One becomes a Buddha equal to oneself. There is no obstruction to material things. Clairvoyance knows the three times without bias. Supported by three times three, which is nine. Thus it is said. In the Clear Space (Treatise): Now, by gaining mastery over both wind and mind, Since wind and mind are workable, All the qualities of wind and mind arise. When any sentient beings pass away, Insert awareness into those. Those to whom awareness is entrusted, Even if they have previously engaged in the five inexpiable sins, There is neither good nor bad in karma, One becomes a Buddha equal to oneself. Clairvoyance is unobstructed, One can pass through Mount Meru and the like. One will not be disturbed by the harm of the four elements. Thus it is said. Secondly, the four confidences are: There is no longing or hope for obtaining the qualities of the Three Jewels, etc. Because one's own awareness has manifested as the Buddhas of the three bodies, one obtains the confidence of spontaneously accomplishing uncontaminated qualities. Even upon hearing of the suffering of the lower realms, because one's own awareness has manifested as primordial purity, free from delusion and suffering, one obtains the confidence of being without fear or shame. Because the clinging to appearances of the three spheres is liberated at the base, one obtains the confidence of having no hope or fear regarding the cause of those two—virtue and vice. These are called the four confidences due to the distinction of cause and effect. This is also stated in the Precious Heap: The four great confidences of unchanging view, Also hold the measure of irreversible wisdom. Thus it is said. In the Extensive (Treatise): Confidence is four, two up and two down. Signs, measures, and many categories are explained, There is nothing that is not included here. For the qualities of the Three Jewels and so forth, There is not even a speck of cause for craving to arise. Since awareness is primordially enlightened, I have no need to be liberated again. Because I myself am a Buddha, I have attained that great confidence. Because one has realized the meaning of that, From where else would one hope for Nirvana? The supreme great confidence is determined. Even if one hears of the ways in which the six realms, such as hell, experience suffering, Because it is without delusion and free from suffering, It is the Dharma of confidence without fear. Since there is no one wandering in samsara, Where would there be fear of falling into samsara? Since there is no one to fall, it is the Dharma of confidence. With the four great confidences of unchanging view, Also hold the measure of irreversible wisdom. Thus it is said. Space
