Even if wisdom transforms, it does not cling and is liberated. The flowing thoughts, mindfulness, intellect, and discriminations, once severed, the Dharmakaya spontaneously accomplishes, primordially pure and liberated. Thus it is said. All phenomena of samsara and nirvana are primordially liberated in the state of awareness, the Dharmakaya, as one. Therefore, recognizing the great inseparability of the two truths, and abiding in a natural, unfabricated state, one also establishes the firm ground of the three kayas. Thus, one liberation is reasonable. All appearances and cognitions are liberated upon being recognized in the nature of reality. For example, just as knowing the taste of one salt determines all, similarly, knowing all phenomena as one taste. Awareness abiding in the state of the Dharmakaya as one, severs the connection of all appearances and mind. Abiding in the self-nature of primordial liberation, free from grasping and being grasped, thus, one liberation. Furthermore, in the Tantra of the Stacked Lamps, it says: All dualistic conceptions, the indivisible wisdom, the fire of primordial awareness, without cause or condition, self-igniting, transcending all abandonment, attainment, negation, and affirmation, conceptual thoughts dissolve in the nature of reality, the rope of dualistic clinging is cut. Therefore, because of one liberation, all limits are completely liberated in their own place, transcending the two, liberation and non-liberation. Also, in the Tantra of the Rosary of Precious Pearls, it says: Because it is one liberation, many are empty. Also, in The Essence of Gold, it says: The mind-essence of solitary liberation, is the reason why many are of one taste. Secondly, a special summary of the key points of the view of the Great Perfection of Self-Liberation: All four modes of liberation mentioned above, their root lies in self-liberation, without an antidote. Therefore, by practicing in this way, all will be accomplished. Regarding this, if one does not know that all conceptual thoughts are primordially as they are, never having existed, then no matter what one abandons, cultivates, transforms, etc., one will not be liberated. If one does not abandon with wisdom, one will not see the wisdom of the mind, because wisdom has not seen the mind. The mind does not abandon with the mind, because abandonment and antidote are of the same essence, so it cannot be purified. The previous thought cannot be abandoned by the later thought, because the past and future are mutually opposing essences. Simultaneous thoughts cannot be abandoned, because they are mutually confused, and the mind-stream is simultaneous. Moreover, since afflictions arise from the mind itself, like the body and its shadow, therefore it is impossible to abandon, cultivate, or transform them. Therefore, all liberation is self-liberation. One should recognize the key point of self-liberation, like ripples in water. That is, the action of self-liberation.

Nor is it self-liberation achieved through action, because all phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, arise from self-nature when they arise, and are liberated by self-liberation when they are liberated. Therefore, appearance is self-liberated from appearance, and emptiness is liberated from emptiness, because there is no other suchness apart from that. Therefore, since there has never been an entity from the beginning, it is self-liberated. Since it does not depend entirely on the liberating action of skillful means, wisdom, the path, conditions, and the guru's instructions, therefore, a fortunate one who enters this path, if they recognize the naked, pristine awareness, and take their own ground, then all the playful thoughts, like a snake's knot or a horse's tail knot, will naturally dissolve and be liberated. In short, know that there is no other cause or condition for liberation apart from that itself. From the moment of arising, the suchness that transcends existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, is already established within oneself. With the confidence of knowing this, one should stop and gather the three—arising, abiding, and liberation—into naked awareness. That is, if it is not self-liberated by nature, then it cannot be transformed into liberation later, just as charcoal cannot be made white by polishing it. However, if one does not recognize the self-nature of self-liberation, it will not be of benefit, just as not recognizing the value of a jewel will not eliminate poverty. And if one recognizes it, then there is no need for later transformation, just as once a vase is made, there is no need to make it again. In the tantra *The Single-Pointed Samadhi of Avalokiteshvara*, it says: "Self-arisen appearing as a friend, overcomes conditions; appearance, clear light, overcomes external conditions; the six aggregates self-purify, overcome internal conditions; movement self-subsides, overcomes secret conditions; play self-liberates, overcomes the conditions of essence." And in the tantra *The Pure Realm of Space*, it says: "Eighty-four thousand afflictions are liberated, like a snake's knot; without a binder or liberator, it is liberated; likewise, all phenomena of permanence and annihilation, all without exception, are neither bound nor liberated, but liberated in essence, like a knot in a horse's tail; various signs are self-liberated." And in *Vast Sky Space*, it says: "For the essence of meaning, the way of abiding, without the fault of exaggeration or denigration, the five poisons, all conceptualizations, are liberated in their own place; therefore, it is said that the dharmakaya is the essence." And it says: "Abiding in great self-liberation itself, abides without cause, condition, or antidote." Also, through the power of habituation in the beginning, middle, and end, there is liberation like a person accustomed to it, liberation like a snake's knot, and like a thief in an empty house. These three are afflictions that arise from effort.
