Therefore, one should be skilled in distinguishing the nature of speech. If one cannot distinguish the nature of mind, the mind will transform into the three realms, so one should be skilled in distinguishing the nature of mind. Thus it is said. Secondly, regarding the merits of practice, generally speaking, like this, distinguishing the nature of outer, inner, secret, and most secret through the gate of the body, the body can be liberated from the existence of the desire realm, and attain the nirvanic Dharmakaya Vajra Nirmanakaya, which is also from 'After Death.' Like this, by whom is the body made? The body does not regress, obstacles are pacified; attachment recedes, and obscurations are purified; the body manifests as the Nirmanakaya, inseparable from the Buddha's body, becoming complete nirvana. Thus it is said. Distinguishing from the gate of speech, one can also attain the Sambhogakaya Vajra of speech, like this, by whom is speech made? Attachment recedes, the obscurations of speech are purified; non-regressing, liberated into the inseparable Sambhogakaya. Thus it is said. Like this, by whom is the nature of mind made, the mind can be liberated from nirvana, blocking the birth gate of the formless realm, accomplishing the necessity of attaining the Dharmakaya Vajra of mind, which is also from 'That.' Like this, by whom is the mind made? Attachment recedes, obstacles are pacified; obscurations are purified, the three realms no longer regress; liberated into the Dharmakaya, inseparable and passing away. Thus it is said. Like this, the common necessity is to eliminate the obstacles arising in the continuum of the path and the main practice, and to generate the special necessity of the recession of the three gates' attachment, and the purification of obscurations and habitual tendencies, and there is also the supreme accomplishment of not falling into the three realms, and the necessity of the three gates' liberation into body, speech, and mind. From 'After Death': Alas! Alas! Son of lineage, if you are skilled in the key points of the preliminary, you will be skilled in the secret intention of the supreme and common. That is, the actions of the body turn the wheel, speech is chatter turning the wheel, mind is gathering and scattering turning the wheel. Like this, from the wheel of actions, from the dharmata of non-passing, there is nothing named wheel. Pacifying obstacles and attachment receding, all sins are eliminated, this is the common necessity. The supreme is not falling into the three realms, and each liberating into body, and body, speech, and mind passing away, this is what is practiced at this time. Thus it is said. The special necessity is: from the outside, this discriminating thought of distinguishing nature, practicing from discriminating thought, is like drawing out water that has entered the ear with water.

Furthermore. Turning away from attachment to the three doors is also mentioned in the common tantras: "From conceptualization arises conceptualization, from existence arises existence. Just as water enters the ear, it is drawn out by other water. Similarly, conceptualization of objects should be purified by mindfulness." Also, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Because attachment and so forth are right there, and one properly engages with them, one will certainly attain liberation, and one will certainly emerge from them." Moreover, as stated in the Hevajra Tantra: "Through the generation stage, the yogi, the ascetic, should meditate on elaboration. Having made elaboration like a dream, elaboration itself becomes non-elaboration." It also says: "By attachment, the world is bound, and by that very thing, liberation is attained." Furthermore, as stated in the Discrimination of the Middle and the Extremes: "Relying on an object of focus, non-focus arises completely. Relying on non-focus, non-focus arises completely. Therefore, the object of focus is established as the very nature of non-focus. Therefore, one should understand the nature of focus and non-focus." In accordance with this, the Four Seats Tantra says: "Like illusion conquering illusion, like illusion offering to illusion, with these skillful means of conduct, practice mantra like a dream." It also says: "By conceptualization, completely abandon conceptualization." Therefore, to be distracted by playfulness and to wastefully squander this skillful means of conduct of the Vajrayana is a sign of foolishness. Therefore, there is nothing deeper than this for training in the causes and conditions of external delusion, so it has a special necessity. The necessity of the inner Ru-shan is to exhaust the cause of delusion, as the Clear Space Tantra says: "Who can distinguish like the inner Ru-shan? It empties the seed of delusion, the seed of samsara, and there is no turning back to the three realms of samsara." It also says: "If the seed is not exhausted, the rope of samsara will not be cut." The necessity of the secret and very secret Ru-shan has already been explained according to their respective scriptures. In particular, the necessity of settling into the natural state is, as the Clear Space Tantra says: "To liberate the arising and confusion of body, speech, and mind, settle them into the natural state." Also, as the Abundant Game Tantra says: "Then, to settle into the natural state, the body's settling is immobility, there is a need to increase the aggregates and elements. The speech's settling is not speaking, the manifestation of the unsaid."
