Without increase or decrease. Thus, through the function of the four elements, In the house of the three realms, Sentient beings of the six realms revolve in turn. Thus it is said. Moreover, the earth element arises from the touch of the male and female organs; the water element arises from the nature of bodhicitta semen; the fire element, which is heat, arises from movement; the wind element arises from agitation; and the space element arises from bliss. The sentient being with karmic potential, born between the two fundamental substances of the body, the combined sperm and blood of the four elements, enters through the mother's birth canal with its wind and mind in the form of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A). The four remain inseparable, like water mixed with milk, and take on a body. The Rabjampa says: "Awareness flows into the mind; when the parents think of their pleasure as solid, the intermediate state of consciousness enters the womb through the birth canal and dissolves into the form of the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A). It comes like water poured into water; the swelling and contracting of the womb cause a sensation of obstruction, and it remains in a state of great bliss. The mind thinks of the mind as entering a temple or house; the four, consciousness, wind, and causes, become like blood mixed with milk." Thus it is said. In particular, the sperm and blood become the basis for the origin of conventional truth. The way the body matures and is produced through the scattering and attachment that occurs in forty weeks: In the first week, the wind expands and separates the pure from the impure; the water gathers the pure in the center; the fire ripens it; and the earth solidifies it, forming a foundation like a star, as small as a mustard seed. In the second week, through the action of the four elements, it becomes like a lump of flesh, about the size of two mustard seeds. In the third week, it becomes like a thin slice, about the size of ten mustard seeds. In the fourth week, it becomes like a round ball, about the size of a hundred mustard seeds. Then, at the beginning of the fifth week, starting from the first day of hardening, possessing half and thirteen parts of its own measure, the central channel and life force wind are generated, and from the two eyes, the navel chakra, the support of the ten winds, is formed, becoming like the form of a Vishnu fish. In the second month of transformation, two hundred and sixteen are formed each day, maturing into the form of a turtle. In the third transformation, it is like a wild boar. In the fourth, it is like a lion. In the fifth, three hundred and sixty bones are formed, maturing into the form of a human. In the sixth, from the earth element, the two eyes are formed. In the seventh, the water element forms the ear holes. In the eighth, the fire element forms the nostrils. In the ninth, the wind element forms the tongue. In the tenth,

Then, the elements and sense bases of the (fetus) are complete, and it emerges outward. In 'Vast Expanse of Clarity' it says: When a man and woman engage in intercourse, at the time when the bliss of the two is equally mingled, the mind of dualistic grasping dissolves into the womb. The bindus of the two parents, and these causes and conditions are completely mixed, like the form of blood and yogurt. The body formed by the four elements arises. In eight weeks, it becomes soft, wriggling, and round. Gradually it becomes hard, pervading, like a turtle or a frog, and the body grows in stages. Also, in 'Vastness' it says: Thus, for forty weeks, nine months and eight days, generally nine months and ten days, the consciousness of accumulation in the womb arises. The propelling wind gathers it downward, the head and tail are reversed, and it comes out. Thus, it is freed from the confines of the womb, the previous habits become weak, the subsequent appropriation has not yet truly met, awareness is not as clear as before, the power of all the channels and winds has not yet arisen, the essence and dregs of the elements have not yet been separated, and inauspicious factors such as diseases and evil spirits arise. Then, by eating the food of the elements, the essence generates the power of the elements, and the dregs generate the power of the body, gradually causing the body to grow. It is also said that the bindu obtained from the father matures into fat, marrow, and semen, and the red and white bindu obtained from the mother matures into flesh, blood, and skin, thus the body grows. In 'Questions of the Four Goddesses' it says: The water element is said to be born from the father, the fire element is born from the mother, and flesh, blood, and skin are also said to be born from the mother. Fat, marrow, and semen are said to be born from the father. It is also said that when the food of the elements is in the mother's body, eating the mother's food becomes a condition for the growth of the child's body, and after birth, the essence and dregs of what one eats oneself mature into nourishment for the elements and the body. Thus, the matured body grows by two hundred and twenty each day in the womb, amounting to six thousand each month, and fifty-four thousand in nine months and ten days. By the third month after birth, seventy-two thousand are completed. Three hundred and sixty bones, fifty handfuls of flesh, six handfuls of blood, six large thenar eminences, one handful of brain, three body-lengths of intestines, eighty-four thousand hairs, one crore of body hairs, thirty-two teeth, twenty-eight vertebrae, sixteen ribs, and so on, the body itself, one fathom long, is square.
