Remain in that state. As it says in "The Clear Mirror of Instructions": Among these, first, the signs of the direct experience of Dharmata are threefold: the body becomes without activity, like a turtle placed in an empty shell; speech loses the desire to speak, like a mute person; the mind is like a bird caught in a snare, even if thoughts scatter, there is nowhere to go. Thus it is said. During the stage of increase, without abandoning the enjoyment of the complete ornamentation of the Sambhogakaya, the qualities of body, speech, and mind are in accordance with it. The body is free from acceptance and rejection, attachment, and without shame or pretense, like a person afflicted by illness; speech is without acceptance or rejection, or meaningfulness, like a madman blurting out random words; the mind, the collection of thoughts is naturally liberated, and no longer engages in the activities of samsara, like a person intoxicated seven times by poison. As it says in "The Vast Expanse": At the time of the increase of experience, the body is without adornment or cleansing, speech is meaningless chatter, and the mind is a reversal of the three realms. Thus it is said. As it says in "The Clear Mirror of Instructions": Now, the three signs of having attained the appearance of increasing experience are: the body is without attachment or clinging, appearing like a person afflicted by illness; speech is like a madman, appearing without meaning or purpose; the mind is determined not to fall into samsara, becoming like a person poisoned by poison. Thus it is said. During the stage of reaching the limit, in accordance with the wonders of the body, speech, and mind of the Dharmakaya Samantabhadra, the body moves through the five elements without obstruction, like an elephant sinking into the mud and emerging by its own power; whatever is spoken becomes Dharma, establishing the truth that benefits others, and others listen and take it to heart, like a child in a clay pot singing a distant song; the mind is determined not to engage in samsara from now on, possessing confidence and certainty, like a person cured of smallpox. As it says in "The Vast Expanse": When awareness reaches its limit, the body moves through the five elements without obstruction, speech is heard by all and becomes Dharma, and the mind possesses confidence and certainty. Thus it is said. As it says in "The Clear Mirror of Instructions": The three signs of awareness reaching its limit are: the body moves through the five elements without obstruction, like an elephant sinking into the mud; speech, just as it is spoken, others listen and power arises, like a child in a clay pot; the mind,

Without falling into error, with decisive view, realize the one and only truth, like a person recovering from smallpox. Thus it is said. At the time of exhaustion, the essence of the three bodies, which are stainless and uncompounded, attains the ultimate perfection of spontaneous accomplishment, purifying the habitual tendencies of clinging to the body, like a corpse in a charnel ground, even if surrounded by hundreds of executioners, there is no fear or shame. Purifying the habitual tendencies of speech, the meaning of the inexpressible arises in the mind-stream, repeating after others like an echo in a valley. The mind, like a mist dissolving into the sky, does not stay for a moment but dissolves on its own into the state of original purity, this is the state of Kadag. As it is said in the Rabjam: At the time when all phenomena are exhausted, the body has no fear of executioners, speech is exhausted and imitates like an echo in a valley, the mind's habitual tendencies vanish in an instant, like a mist dissolving in space. And as it is said in the Klongsal: The appearance of the exhaustion of reality is a sign of the confidence of liberation, the body is like a corpse in a charnel ground, without fear it is self-liberated, speech is like an echo in a valley, the substance of speech is exhausted and repeats the words of others, the mind is like a mist, it does not stay for a moment but dissolves on its own, the aggregates of habitual tendencies dissolve on their own. Second, the measure of grasping dreams: For those who have become thoroughly accustomed, the clinging of habitual tendencies is purified in the expanse, dreams are completely cut off, and the measure of liberation in the first bardo of reality, which appears in a circle of clear light, is attained. The intermediate one knows and practices in dreams, transforms, cuts off, and there, through familiarity with the instructions, attains the measure of enlightenment in the bardo. The inferior one purifies negative habitual tendencies, and at the time when inauspicious dreams cease, attains the measure of breathing in the self-existing nirmanakaya. As it is said in the Rabjam: For the superior, dreams dissolve into the expanse, for the intermediate, dreams manifest as clear awareness, for the inferior, one also knows the nature of dreams. And as it is said in the Klongsal: For the superior, dreams dissolve into the expanse, for the intermediate, dreams enter clear light, one knows dreams in the state of dreams, for the inferior, good thoughts arise in dreams, thus, the measure is grasped by dreams themselves. Third, obtaining confidence in the view: As it is said in the Trengwa: The measure is the yoga of the four confidences. And as it is said in the Rinchen Pungpa: With the four great confidences of the unchanging view, one also grasps the measure of irreversible wisdom. That is to say, one's own awareness is primordially enlightened, and has already been liberated into the essence of the Three Jewels, such as becoming a Buddha.
