Then, the servant girl pleaded: "Oh, my long-time protector, conch-shell guardian maiden, There is no one like you in this world. To be with you is like a single peerless star rising. Now, the one who offered the iron chain, I request that you make him your eternal companion. I will also always be your servant." Having pleaded thus, the goddess, because she had promised before, had no choice but to comply. The goddess said, "Where is that person you want to take away? Who is he?" The servant girl said: "He is my uncle, the Rakshasa Dashagriva, He is in Lanka Pura (modern-day Sri Lanka)." Having said that, The conch-shell guardian maiden unwillingly became the wife of the Rakshasa.
