And wishing, wishing to cut off, wishing to avert the wheel of existence, wishing to turn according to the law, wishing to cut off the great wheel of suffering, and wishing to empty the great wheel of hell, one should also train in this path. Another gathering of the great assembly is as follows: Wishing to destroy the eighty-one mountains of yoga contemplation, one should also train in this path, namely, nine kinds of fundamental contemplation, nine kinds of characteristic contemplation, nine kinds of sign contemplation, nine kinds of condition contemplation, nine kinds of action contemplation, nine kinds of conduct contemplation, nine kinds of movement contemplation, nine kinds of attachment contemplation, and nine kinds of manifest contemplation. Another gathering of the great assembly is as follows: Knowing the nine gates of falling, one should also train in this path, and what are they? Namely, the gate of falling into the ranks of great demons, the gate of falling into the realm of heretics, the gate of falling into the realm of Rakshasas, the gate of falling into the ranks of Yakshas, the gate of falling into the great Rudra, the gate of falling into the great obstacles, the gate of falling into the ranks of great gods, the gate of falling into the ranks of great carnivorous beasts, and the gate of falling into the great hell. Another gathering of the great assembly is as follows: If you wish to know this path, you should know the Dharma of the Buddha. In any case, the Dharmas of the Buddha can always be seen as permanent, and can also be seen as impermanent, appearing as birth, and can also be seen as having an object. This Dharma of the Buddha is with desire, with hatred, with ignorance, with pride, with jealousy, with the five heinous crimes, with the five near heinous crimes, with the four heavy sins, and also with the eight wrongdoings. Another gathering of the great assembly is as follows: With killing, with taking what is not given, with sexual misconduct, with lying, with slander, with harsh speech, with idle chatter, with greed, with malice, with wrong view. Therefore, the gathering of the great assembly should practice those Dharmas of the Buddha.

Now, those who desire, Should learn this path, should know this path, should practice this path, and make it become emptiness. Thus spoke the valiant Vajra Victorious One. From the great tantra king, the All-Gathering Wisdom Sutra of Vajra Adornment, the first chapter, the Nature of Yoga. Then, the assembly of the majority of those gathered in that retinue, having made the marvelous hand gestures in the manner of yoga, requested the valiant Vajra Victorious One thus: Great valiant one, Lion of Speech, we greatly desire to ask you, please grant us the opportunity to inquire. Having requested thus, the Lion of Speech spoke thus: Great assembly, whatever you wish to ask, feel free to ask, please state what you seek. Having spoken thus, the great assembly requested: Alalaho Alalaho)! Great Lion of Speech, we wish to follow the great meaning of the nature of yoga that you have extensively explained, but how many doors are there to enter this? What is the method? Which path is easy? Great valiant one, please explain this meaning extensively. Having requested thus, the Lion of Speech spoke: Friends, well done! Very well done! Certainly well done! These things you have asked are very rare, making the door to enter all dharmas clear and vast, listen attentively, I shall clearly explain it to you. Then, within the retinue, with the voice of the lion opening the doors of all dharmas, this shall be clearly explained. These doors of the Buddha's teachings, although numerous and inconceivable, if summarized concisely, there are three clear doors: the door of diligent entry, the door of accomplished means, and the door of ultimate result. The first door also has three: the door of the nature of means, the entrance of the capable lineage, and the secret door of the accomplished teachings. Each of those doors is said to have three divisions. The second door also has three: the door of wisdom realization, the door of meditative habituation, and the door of accomplished aspiration. The last ultimate door is said to be the door of the three liberations. Entering
