The islands are seven. The mountains are seven. The oceans are seven. Regarding the stars, sun, moon, constellations, planets, and sages, there are twenty-seven stars and their endless connections. The sun and moon are round in shape. The constellations and planets refer to those that actually have the form of stars, auspiciousness, and so on. The sages are the seven stars. Regarding gods, spirits, and nagas, the gods refer to the Four Great Kings and so on. Spirits refer to those who cannot be conquered by others and pretas, and so on. Nagas refer to the infinite and so on. Regarding the four types of beings, egg-born beings refer to garudas and so on, which are born of wind. Womb-born beings refer to elephant kings and so on, which are born of fire. Moisture-born beings refer to insects, butterflies, ants, and so on, which are born of water. Spontaneously born beings refer to trees and so on, which are born of earth. Similarly, the great spontaneously born beings are born of decay. Regarding "various lands and below," the word "from" is a word from the scriptures. Since it is both various and land, it is various lands, that is, the nature of the seven continents and the nature of the twelve parts. Below it is below the various lands, that is, the realm of the nagas and the seven realms of hell. On the various lands are beings, and in the hell realms below are hell beings, where the word "also" means collection. In the center of emptiness, reality arises, just as salt in water and yolk in an egg. Here, salt is used as a metaphor for generating stable things, and eggs are used as a metaphor for generating moving things. The word "and" means collection. For example, just as the combination of sunlight causes tiny particles of salt water to become solid salt, so are Mount Meru and other stable things. For example, just as tiny particles of melted liquid in an egg become parts of the face, body, and so on, so should moving beings be understood. The origin of this world will be explained in detail in the fifth chapter. This is a great summary of the condensed sutra of the world. Now, Manjushri with body and so on...

I shall explain the fifth verse, which summarizes the Vajra Body, as taught in the previous sequence. 'Body' refers to the moon, free from obscuration. 'Wisdom' refers to the sun, free from obscuration. 'Space' refers to the space element, free from obscuration, and similarly, the wind element, fire element, water element, and earth element. 'Stability' refers to the nature of the five elements, the stable element free from obscuration. 'Movement' refers to the sentient being's element, the nature of the six elements, free from obscuration. 'Deity' is that which generates seeing and not seeing, the deity is that, and generating seeing and not seeing is also that, meaning the deity is that which generates seeing and not seeing. The formless existence, possessing only the pride of discriminating consciousness, such as the four formless realms like the sphere of infinite space. Thus, the body and so forth, as the basis of Vajra Wisdom, the ten types of existence spoken of by the Tathagata, from the Vajra Body, the source of mantras, such as bindus, will arise. The lord of men is the Tibetan. Here, the source of mantras is: from the moon arises the bindu, from the sun arises the segmented line, from the space element arises अ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, IAST: a, literal meaning: A), from the wind element arises इ (Tibetan, Devanagari: इ, IAST: i, literal meaning: I), from the fire element arises ऋ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ऋ, IAST: ṛ, literal meaning: Ri), from the water element arises उ (Tibetan, Devanagari: उ, IAST: u, literal meaning: U), from the earth element arises ऌ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ऌ, IAST: ḷ, literal meaning: Li), from the stable element arises the consonant म (Tibetan, Devanagari: म, IAST: ma, literal meaning: Ma), from the moving element arises the consonant क्ष (Tibetan, Devanagari: क्ष, IAST: kṣa, literal meaning: Ksha), and from the formless realm arises the consonant ह (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह, IAST: ha, literal meaning: Ha). These mantra syllables should be arranged in a counter-clockwise direction. Thus, the former consonant goes on top of the latter consonant. The letters ऌ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ऌ, IAST: ḷ, literal meaning: Li) and so forth, are transformed into Yana by "Ikani Acara Yana," and are perfectly joined with the final letter अ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अ, IAST: a, literal meaning: A). The segmented line is the shape of a half-moon. The bindu is round. It is the shape of the peak of wisdom. The source of mantras for mantras such as merit and increase is as follows: ह क्ष म ऌ उ ऋ इ अः हं क ष म ल व र य (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह क्ष म ऌ उ ऋ इ अः हं क ष म ल व र य, IAST: ha kṣa ma ḷ u ṛ i aḥ haṃ ka ṣa ma la va ra ya, literal meaning: Ha Ksha Ma Li U Ri I Ah Ham Ka Sha Ma La Va Ra Ya). This is the collection of the world realms and the Vajra Body; for the space element is the letter य (Tibetan, Devanagari: य, IAST: ya, literal meaning: Ya), which is the mandala of wind. Above that is the letter र (Tibetan, Devanagari: र, IAST: ra, literal meaning: Ra), which is the mandala of fire. Above that is the letter व (Tibetan, Devanagari: व, IAST: va, literal meaning: Va), which is the mandala of water. Above that is the letter ल (Tibetan, Devanagari: ल, IAST: la, literal meaning: La), which is the mandala of earth. Above that is the letter म (Tibetan, Devanagari: म, IAST: ma, literal meaning: Ma), which is the five-fold Mount Meru. Above that is the letter क्ष (Tibetan, Devanagari: क्ष, IAST: kṣa, literal meaning: Ksha), which is the collection of movements in the form of a lotus.
