Everything will be born correctly. Whoever makes the people of Jambudvipa have happiness and joy. After praying thus, the Bhagavan spoke to the lord of the nagas, who had countless attendants, a glorious mandala made of the clouds of the ocean, like an umbrella: Lord of the nagas, you have come for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings. It is good, good that you think of asking the Tathagata about this matter. Lord of the nagas, therefore listen well and keep it in mind, and I will tell you. Lord of the nagas, if one possesses one dharma, then all the sufferings of all nagas will be cut off, and they will have happiness. What is that one dharma? It is loving-kindness. Lord of the nagas, the gods and humans who abide in loving-kindness will not be burned by fire, will not be harmed by weapons, will not be carried away by water, will not be harmed by poison, will not be overwhelmed by the enemy's army. They will fall asleep in peace, wake up in peace, will be completely protected by their own merit, and by great merit, they will become radiant with glory, will not be despised by the world including the gods, will become beautiful and pleasing to see, and will have unobstructed progress in all journeys. All suffering will be cut off, and they will be exceedingly joyful, possessing all happiness, and after realizing the supreme human dharma, they will be born in the Brahma world after the destruction of the body. Lord of the nagas, these are the benefits of the gods and humans who abide in loving-kindness. Lord of the nagas, therefore, one should abide in the karma of loving-kindness of body, the karma of loving-kindness of speech, and the karma of loving-kindness of mind. Lord of the nagas, furthermore, the dharani called "Giving All Happiness" should be recited, which will cut off all the sufferings of all nagas, give all happiness, and will cause the rain to fall constantly in this Jambudvipa, causing grass, trees, medicines, forests, and all crops to grow. Lord of the Nagas, accomplishing all the words and meanings of the Dharani, entering the Dharmakaya, blessed by all the Buddhas, bestowing all happiness, these should be upheld, should be recited.
