Monks, do you want to see the bones of the Bodhisattva who performs difficult deeds? After saying this, the monks said to the Blessed One: O virtuous sage, the most excellent essence of sentient beings, Possessing great patience and diligence, rejoicing in peace and gentleness, Wisdom and joy, immeasurable qualities, abiding in transformation, The time has come for us to see the bones, please tell us well. Then, the Blessed One, with his feet marked with a thousand-spoked wheel and hands as soft as a newly opened lotus flower, struck the ground. As soon as he struck it, the earth shook in six ways, and from there arose a stupa made of jewels, gold, and silver. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Ananda: Ananda, open this stupa. Then, the venerable Ananda, having heard the instructions of the Blessed One, opened the stupa, and there he saw a golden bowl shining with golden light, covered with jewels and pearls. Having seen it, he said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, there is a golden bowl here. The Blessed One said: Open all seven of these bowls. Similarly, after opening all of them, he saw there some bones whose color was like snow and the kumuda flower. Having seen it, he said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, there are some bones here. The Blessed One said: Ananda, bring the bones of these great beings. Then, the venerable Ananda took those bones, offered them to the Buddha, the Blessed One, and the Blessed One took the bones before the Sangha, and holding them in his hand, said: These bones are the collection of the most excellent qualities, the most excellent wisdom, Subjugation and meditation, patience and joy, the most excellent and noble fame, For the sake of those with wisdom, constantly for this Bodhi, Steadfast joy, faith, and wisdom, the most excellent generosity is rejoiced in. Then, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, the bones of the Bodhisattva are perfected by discipline and qualities.

Homage! I pay homage to those who are extremely difficult to see and have become fields of merit! Then, those monks folded their palms and paid homage to the relics with devout minds. Then, the Venerable Ananda folded his palms and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Tathagata is superior to all the worlds and is revered by all sentient beings. Why does the Tathagata himself pay homage to these relics? Then, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Ananda: Ananda, these relics enabled me to quickly attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and become a Buddha. Ananda, in the past, there was a king named Great Chariot, who had a mount, possessed various powers, and suppressed others with unobstructed strength. He had three sons like young gods, named Great Voice, Heavenly Voice, and Great Strength. Then, the king came to the garden for recreation, and those princes were attached to the virtues of the garden and desired flowers, so they chased each other and entered the twelve great forests. Then, those princes got lost, and the young attendants were also expelled by the princes and got lost to each other, entering the twelve forests of the great garden that was closely guarded. Then, Great Voice said to his two younger brothers: My heart is overwhelmed by fear. We may be killed by wild animals. Let's go back now! Heavenly Voice said: I have no fear. My heart is thinking of being separated from suffering people. Great Strength said: In this solitary forest praised by the Able One, I am not afraid, nor do I have sorrow. I think that I have obtained extremely vast and supreme great meaning, and my heart is therefore very joyful. Then, as those young princes wandered in the twelve forests, they saw a tigress who had given birth to cubs six or seven days ago. Surrounded by five cubs, she was weakened by hunger and thirst, and her body was extremely weak.

He saw a similar sight. Having seen it, he spoke in a loud voice: Alas, this tigress has given birth to cubs for six or seven days! Now, having not found food, either she will eat her own cubs, or she will die of starvation. The Great Courageous One said: What is the food of this tigress? The Loud Voice said: Here, whatever fresh meat and warm blood there is, that is the food of tigers, bears, dholes, and lions. The Great God said: Here, this tigress has become a body filled with hunger and thirst, with only a little life remaining, and is extremely weak. If she cannot find food and drink in this place, who will give up their own body in order to completely protect her life? The Loud Voice said: Alas, giving up one's own body is difficult to do. The Great Courageous One said: For those like us who are attached to life and body, and are narrow-minded, this kind of action is difficult to do. But for those holy beings who engage in giving up their bodies and strive to benefit others, it is not difficult. Furthermore, those noble sentient beings who arise from loving-kindness and compassion, in the heavenly realms and here on earth, think that obtaining their own body is meaningful. For the sake of others' lives, with a harmonious and joyful mind, they cherish them here in a hundred ways without change. Then, the young prince was very unhappy, and stared at the tigress for a long time without blinking, and then left. Then, the Great Courageous One thought to himself: Now is the time for me to give up this body. Why is that? Because this nature of decay and separation will eventually lead to a bad end. This pus-filled body, even if protected for a long time with food, drink, bedding, and suitable vehicles, cannot change its original nature, and all that is done is in vain. Moreover, since everything has become impure, there is no meaning in its survival. Now I should do something better than that. Therefore, I will become like a great boat that liberates from the ocean of birth and death. Furthermore, this meaningless body, like a bubble, filled with hundreds of thousands of worms, coveted by foolish people, like a fruit, a hundred
