Having arisen from meditative absorption, having looked upon the many assembled retinues, he spoke these verses. The sovereign king of sutras, If listened to, is extremely profound, If fully examined, is profound indeed. This noble Golden Light will be expounded. The Buddhas in the four directions, Bless with blessings. Akshobhya in the east, Ratnaketu in the south, Amitabha in the west, Dundubhisvara in the north. For the sake of destroying all sins, The noble exposition, auspicious. Exhausting sinful deeds, Bestowing all happiness, Destroying all suffering, The basis of omniscience itself. Well adorned with all glory, Having blessed, it should be spoken. Whichever sentient beings have weakened faculties, Have exhausted life and diminished life, And whatever attachment is not complete, The gods turn their backs, Friends and relatives hate, Servants, planets, etc. torment, Not being harmonious with each other, Being harmed by the decrease of wealth, Sorrow, fatigue, and harm, Fear and poverty, Planets and constellations, curses, Unpleasant demons harass, And even if one sees sinful dreams Arising from sorrow and fatigue, Then, through it, one is thoroughly cleansed, one is pure. The noble sutra should be listened to. Those who with a virtuous mind and field of mind, And well adorned with clean clothes, As the profound realm of the Buddhas, If one listens to this sutra, By the glory of this sutra, The harm of all living beings, These extremely unpleasant ones, Those will always be pacified. The world-protecting deities themselves, And the lords of the assembly of ministers, Millions of yakshas, Will protect those.
