The Blessed One, what is the Dharma of practicing yoga on the profound meanings? Please explain it. Then he asked in verses: I, in front of the Illuminator of the world and the chief of the two-legged, the supreme one, the Bodhisattva practices the path correctly. I pray that you grant permission with compassion. To the Blessed One, the goddess of the lineage, if there is any doubt, you may ask as you wish, and I will explain it. Then the goddess asked the Blessed One: How does a Bodhisattva Truly practice the conduct of Bodhi, for the sake of benefiting oneself and others, abandoning both Samsara and Nirvana? The Blessed One said to the goddess of the lineage: One should rely on the Dharmadhatu to practice the Dharma of Bodhi, and practice the conduct of equality. How does one rely on the Dharmadhatu to practice the Dharma of Bodhi and practice the conduct of equality? For example, these five aggregates reveal the Dharmadhatu. Therefore, what is called the Dharmadhatu is the five aggregates, but the five aggregates cannot be spoken of, and what is not the five aggregates cannot be spoken of either. Why? If the Dharmadhatu is the five aggregates, then it will fall into the view of annihilation; if it is different from the five aggregates, then it will fall into the view of permanence. Therefore, it is free from two characteristics, not attached to the two extremes, invisible, completely beyond the seen and the seer, nameless, and without characteristics, which is called revealing the Dharmadhatu. Goddess of the lineage, how do the five aggregates reveal the Dharmadhatu? For example, these five aggregates are not born from cause and condition. Why? If it is born from cause and condition, then is it born because it is already born, or is it born because it is not yet born? If it is born because it is already born, then what is the need for cause and condition? If something that is not yet born is born, then nothing can be determined to be produced. Why? Because whatever Dharma is unborn is non-existent, nameless, without characteristics, Not to be negated, incomparable, and cannot be produced by cause and condition.

Because it is not so. The goddess of lineage is like this: For example, the sound of a drum depends on wood, and also depends on leather, drumsticks, hands, and so on, so the sound arises, but this sound of the drum is empty in the past, empty in the future, and empty in the present. Why is that? The sound of the drum does not arise from wood, nor from leather, nor from drumsticks and hands, nor from the three times, so it is unborn. Whatever is unborn will not perish. Whatever does not perish will not come from anywhere. Whatever does not come from anywhere will not go anywhere. Whatever does not go anywhere is neither permanent nor annihilated. Whatever is neither permanent nor annihilated is neither one nor different. Why is that? If it were one, it would be no different from the Dharmadhatu. If that were the case, then ordinary beings would also see the true truth and attain Nirvana with the supreme true truth. Because it is not so, therefore know that it is not one. If it is said to be different, then all the characteristics of the actions of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are with manifest attachment, so they will not be liberated from the bonds of affliction, and they will not attain the supreme perfect enlightenment. Why is that? Because all noble beings equally realize the true nature of conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, therefore it is not different. Therefore, know that these five aggregates are neither existent nor non-existent, neither arising from cause and condition, nor arising from no cause and condition. This is what the noble ones should know, because it is not the realm of others, so it cannot be understood by words and terms, it has no name, no characteristics, no cause, no condition, no analogy, no beginning and no end, it is extremely peaceful.

Since its very nature is emptiness, therefore, these five aggregates are able to reveal the realm of Dharma. O noble goddess, any son or daughter of a noble family who wishes to fully pursue the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, but seeks it entirely apart from the ultimate and conventional truths, that is extremely difficult to fathom and contemplate. Because the very nature of the realm of ordinary beings and noble ones is neither one nor different, therefore, one should not abandon the conventional, nor separate from the ultimate truth, but should rely on the realm of Dharma to practice the conduct of enlightenment. At that time, the Bhagavan spoke those words, and the noble goddess, joyful and elated, arose from her seat, draped her upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on her right knee, respectfully folded her palms, and with one-pointed mind bowed her head to the Bhagavan, and beseeched the Bhagavan thus: O Bhagavan, I shall now learn those practices of the true meaning of enlightenment that you have previously taught. Then, the great Brahma, the lord of the world of Saha, among many attendants, said to the goddess Wish-fulfilling Jewel Light: This conduct of enlightenment is extremely difficult to accomplish. How will you gain freedom in the conduct of enlightenment today? Then, the noble goddess said to the great Brahma: O great Brahma, as the Bhagavan has said, this is truly profound, so all ordinary beings will not understand its meaning, for this is the realm of the noble ones, extremely rich and difficult to understand. If today I truly and without falsehood attain peaceful abiding through this Dharma, then all the immeasurable, countless, and limitless sentient beings of the five degenerations of the evil age will turn into golden color, possessing the thirty-two marks, neither male nor female, dwelling on precious lotuses, experiencing immeasurable bliss, and a rain of divine and sacred flowers will manifestly fall.
