will appear, and they will be born there by transformation from lotuses of various colors. Those who will be born in the heavenly realms, having been born there, their previous roots of virtue will not be exhausted, and they will not fall into the lower realms. Having died from there, they will also be reborn in this human world, becoming the sovereign wheel-turning king of the four continents, placing countless billions of sentient beings on the path of the ten virtuous actions. Alternatively, they will be born into royal families, like great Sala tree houses; Brahmins, like great Sala tree houses; and householders, like great Sala tree houses; they will be born into families possessing wealth, grain, treasuries, and many granaries, possessing complete form, complete power, complete retinue, bravery, fortitude, and great strength. Any woman who hears and holds the name of the Tathagata should know that her female body is her last. Then, the youth Manjushri said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, in the future time, in the future age, whoever holds this sutra, reads it, explains it, widely and truly teaches it to others, writes it, causes it to be written, writes it on scrolls, and honors it with flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, ointments, umbrellas, and banners, those faithful sons or daughters of good family, I will proclaim to them in various ways the name of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Medicine Guru Vaidurya Light. Those will not die before their time. No one can steal their radiance, and even if it is stolen, it will be taken back again. The Blessed One said: Mañjuśrī, it is just so, just as it is said. Mañjuśrī, any son or daughter of good family who makes offerings to the Tathāgata should make an image of that Tathāgata. For seven days and nights, they should abide closely in the upavāsa vows, which possess the eight branches of the noble ones. They should eat pure food and bathe their bodies well. They should wear fine, immaculate clothes and scatter various flowers in a clean place. They should fumigate with various incenses. In a place well adorned with silk, parasols, and various banners, they should generate a mind that is immaculate, a mind that is without turbidity, a mind that is without malice, a mind of loving-kindness, a mind of equanimity, and a mind that is impartial. They should play music, cymbals, and sing songs, and circumambulate the image of the Tathāgata. They should also keep in mind his former aspirations, and if they teach this sūtra, then all the thoughts and aspirations that they have will be completely fulfilled. If they wish for long life, then they will have long life. If they wish to be endowed with wealth, then they will be endowed with wealth. If one makes offerings to it, one will be completely liberated from all fears. Those who fear enemy armies, fear thieves, and fear robbers should also make offerings to the Tathagata.
