Vajrapani Bodhisattva asked: "Bhagavan, what is called the time of inner self-nature?" The Bhagavan replied: "Lord of Secrets, the so-called time of inner self-nature is a great secret, extremely secret, blessed by the extremely subtle Bodhicitta. That nature is inconceivable, the wisdom of Dharmata is extremely subtle, that nature arises from the channels, its essence is emptiness without existence, it is the wisdom that liberates sentient beings, and bestows the Siddhi of mantra yoga. Pacifying and increasing, magnetizing and attracting, in actual practice, destroying and annihilating, are the manifest accomplishments of wisdom. The Bhagavan cherishes pacification, the Tathagata is in the realm of self-realization, like flowers and fragrance, the support and the supported are without distinction, the master of the unreal, the essence of one taste, dwells constantly without wavering. That nature is the purity of the minds of beings, abiding in the state of subtle wisdom. Red, black, yellow, and white, thus briefly summarized. In half-hour periods, going out and coming in from the body, and moving by abiding, the twenty-four appear in order, in day and night. From this arise life and effort, with skillful means and wisdom non-dual, abiding in the central channel. From non-abiding arises conceptual thought, from virtuous and non-virtuous actions, the cycle of existence is manifestly accomplished. From conceptual thoughts arise the winds, and with wisdom, Nirvana is attained." After speaking thus, the great assembly of Bodhisattvas and the great Bodhisattva Vajrapani were greatly delighted and satisfied. This is the profound exposition of the Samadhi of the Great Vajra Secret, arising from the difference of skillful means. The self-nature Bodhisattva is threefold, and this secret place of arising abides. From the part of the Samadhi Bodhisattva, after emitting immeasurable rays of light, it appears in the mandala wheel of all the Tathagatas, and is also endowed with skillful means for all beings, arising from the stainless self-nature, from the reality of Samadhi, becoming the mandala wheel of the nature of great bliss, and also dissolving into that nature. After becoming extremely subtle, like a mustard seed,

In that subtle place, in the very center of the blazing light, the mandala together with the deities, from the support and the supported, the immeasurable rays of light that arise, abide by their very nature, and when urged by the vows, the light that arises from them, completely fills the inside, and thus, to all infinity, from the pores of the skin, the immeasurable great appearance, pervades all realms of existence, and then returns and enters into that very state. Gathering near the essence of non-dual wisdom. Moreover, after the Thus-Gone Ones and others have dissolved into manifestation, at the tip of the pistil of the lotus that arises from the dharma-source of one's own consort, from the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) that arises from the mind of enlightenment, the five-pronged vajra that is made of, from the navel of sandalwood, on the seat complete with a sun disc, the jewel that radiates from the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) that abides, becoming extremely subtle, about the size of a mustard seed, possessing the nature of the five wisdoms, complete with the five colors, and radiating light. Like that, in the center of those mustard seed jewels, contemplate the five mandalas, each with its support and supported. One should establish the distinct mandalas of the five families of the Thus-Gone Ones, each separately. After that, one should gain mastery over expanding and contracting, either all at once, or gradually, again and again, one should engage in yoga in samadhi. Also, if those forms are clear, they are the bodies of deities, the very reality of sound abides in syllables, the essence of bindus manifests as hand gestures, and they are complete with a mass of light. This very thing, each separately, in the nature of self-awareness, from the part of the union of great bliss, the very nature of complete transformation, one should abide by expanding and contracting. When it becomes stable from that, signs such as mirages and smoke will definitely arise. One should meditate, free from faults such as sinking and agitation. Each individually, having become aware by oneself, having transformed into the form of the five wisdoms, blessing and pervading all things, stable and moving, having purified the objects and faculties, entering, arising, and abiding, and having become great bliss. From the collection of secret wisdom, completely clear and without fault, swift and mutual
