Ritual. The peg wood is sandalwood, fig, mango, nyagrodha and palasha, and kadampa and other milky trees. Made from the tip part, the length is twelve fingers. It should be moist and have leaves. Avoid using those with damaged center and tip, without bark and cracked, short and too long, thin and thick, crooked, cracked, broken and worm-eaten, with two forks at the tip, with living beings and dry. All virtuous deeds should avoid these, while evil deeds are auspicious. Barley, sesame, milk and yogurt, rice, millet, panicum miliaceum, blue kusha grass, mango leaves, flowers, white sandalwood, honey, ghee, roasted barley flour, durva grass, fragrance and juice, etc., yogis should burn for pacification according to what they can obtain. For the wood for burnt offerings, it should be lower than the height of the stove. It can also be dry manure from the forest. Avoid using those with living beings. This is the ritual for pacifying peg wood, firewood, grains, etc. Peg wood is like the appearance of pacification, from the beautiful part in the middle, split lengthwise to one cubit. After sprinkling with perfume and water, mix yogurt, milk and ghee. Then add three sweets. Then superior food, yogurt residue, ghee and black sesame, nutmeg with ghee, honey and rice, other grains, lotus, nagakesar and bilva fruit. For empowerment, in a copper vessel, etc., water with red fragrance, etc., blazing with red flowers, fill it completely to create attachment. The water is black and has no fragrance, it is done with blood, or with urine and cow urine, or with human urine, or even donkey urine is acceptable. Recite the mantra combined with phaṭ (ཕཊ，phaṭ，फट्，severance), place it on the right side, and apply it to fierce activities. This is the ritual of argha. Sitting on a soft cushion, in the lotus posture, contemplate the glorious Vairocana. Visualize residing on a lion, lotus, and moon seat. With the order of appearance from below, for the benefit of all sentient beings, recite the mantra ending with svāhā (སྭཱ་ཧཱ，svāhā，स्वाहा，accomplishment), and always perform peaceful activities. For increasing poverty and emaciation, etc., do it in the morning with joy. Adorn with yellow clothes, etc., and face north. In a good sitting posture, or in a playful posture.
