As soon as he said, "May I see again as before," he saw clearly as before his father the king and his two mothers, and became exceedingly joyful and satisfied. At that time, Prince Gedon, on the fifteenth day of the full moon, bathed during the day, put on clean yellow clothes, placed the wish-fulfilling jewel on top of his head, held a censer in his hand, and prostrated to the wish-fulfilling jewel, praying thus: "For the sake of all sentient beings of Jambudvipa, I have endured great suffering and obtained this wish-fulfilling jewel." As soon as he said this, at that time, a great wind arose from the east, blowing away the clouds and fog, making the sky completely clear. All the unclean garbage, excrement, urine, rags, and all unpleasant things in Jambudvipa were blown away by the wind and completely cleaned. By the blessing of the wish-fulfilling jewel, uncultivated, self-grown rice fell like rain in Jambudvipa, and that rice was soft, full of color and flavor. All the fragrant grasses grew luxuriantly, reaching up to the knees. After that, excellent clothes to wear, body ornaments, rings, jewels, bracelets, and so on fell like rain. After that, gold, silver, the seven precious substances, and so on, various musical instruments, in short, all the necessities that all sentient beings needed fell like rain, satisfying and satiating everyone. The Bodhisattva practices the Paramita of Giving with the power of great compassion, and the meaning of fully giving all sentient beings the necessities they need is like this. The Blessed One said to Ananda: "At that time, do you think that the great king of Varanasi was someone else? Do not think like that. At that time, that great king was my father, King Suddhodana. At that time, do you think that the queen was someone else? Do not think like that. At that time, the one who became the queen was my mother, Queen Maya. At that time, that evil prince was the current

That was Devadatta himself. At that time, the prince of virtue at that time was me now. This Devadatta, even in the past, always harmed me with malice, but I always accepted patience, always gave him kindness, and always made him happy. Now that I have become a Buddha, what more needs to be said? When the Blessed One said this, hundreds of thousands of gods and humans attained from the fruit of entering the stream to the fruit of the Arhat. In addition, hundreds of thousands of immeasurable gods and humans generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. Hundreds of thousands of immeasurable sentient beings generated the mind of the Hearer and the Solitary Buddha. Ananda asked the Buddha: Blessed One, what is the name of this sutra? How should it be upheld? The Blessed One taught: The name of this sutra is "Skillful Means to Repay the Buddha's Kindness, Satisfying All Sentient Beings." The many retinues were very happy to hear this sutra, prostrated and departed. In addition, although Devadatta renounced the world under the Buddha's teachings, he was often jealous for the sake of profit and fame. Although Devadatta could recite six hundred thousand loads of incense scriptures, he was not liberated from the Avici Hell. At that time, Devadatta and King Ajatashatru were very friendly, liked and were close to each other, and trusted each other's words. After that, Devadatta said to King Ajatashatru: You be the leader of the kings! I will be the leader of the Buddhas! King Ajatashatru said: Now that my father is still here, it is not right to do so. Devadatta said: It can be made so that he is not here. I will also make it so that the Buddha is not here. After that, is it not good for the leader of the kings and the leader of the Buddhas to do things for sentient beings? After that, King Ajatashatru, as Devadatta said, killed his father and occupied the city of Rajagriha (near Patna, Bihar) and the Varanasi region. Devadatta said to King Ajatashatru
