I have served the great king without any fault, but now I must part with my only son. If he must go, why does my heart not shatter and die? When this son was in my womb, he grew day and night like the leaves of a growing tree. Now that he has grown and matured, he abandons me and leaves. All the consorts will laugh at me, saying that I am content, and the king will no longer respect me. If the gods fulfill my wishes and do not contradict my prayers, may my son return to his homeland." After making this aspiration, the prince, along with his consort and two sons, bowed to his parents and bid farewell. At that time, the consort Nyitri each offered a string of pearls. Four thousand ministers each offered the prince a lotus flower made of seven precious jewels.
