The Samghata hell, the Raurava hell, the Maha Raurava hell, the Tapana hell, the Pratapana hell, the Avici hell, the Arbuda hell, the Nirarbuda hell, the Atata hell, the Hahava hell, the Huhuva hell, the Utpala-like cracking hell, the Padma-like cracking hell, and having become a great Padma-like cracking hell. In those hot hells, it becomes cool and descends. In those cold hells, it becomes warm and descends. Thus, the differences in suffering of those beings are pacified. Then, they think, 'Have we died and transmigrated from here? Or have we been born elsewhere?' Then, in order to generate faith, the Bhagavan emanates a manifestation, and having seen the manifestation, they think, 'We have not died and transmigrated from here, nor have we been born elsewhere, but by the power of this unprecedented appearance of beings, the differences in our suffering have been pacified.' Then, they develop great faith in the manifestation, and thus, the karma that causes them to experience hell is exhausted, and among gods and humans, wherever they are fit to be vessels of truth, they will take rebirth there. Those who go upwards go to the retinue of the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three, the Yama, the Tushita, the Nirmanarati, the Paranirmitavasavartin, the Brahma retinue, the Brahmapurohita, the Mahabrahma, the Parittabha, the Apramanabha, the Abhasvara, the Parittasubha, the Apramanasubha, the Subhakrtsna, the Anabhraka, the Punyaprasava, the Brhatphala, the Avrha, the Atapa, the Sudrsa, the Sudarsana, and having gone to the Akanishtha gods, they proclaim the sound of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. Two verses are also recited: Strive for definite emergence. Engage in the Buddha's teachings. Like an elephant to a reed hut. Destroy the army of the Lord of Death.

. Whoever practices diligently in this Dharma and Vinaya, having completely abandoned the cycle of birth, will be able to end suffering. Thus it is said. Then those rays of light circled the realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds, following the Blessed One. If the Blessed One wished to prophesy past deeds, they would not appear on the edge of the Blessed One's robe. If he wished to prophesy future deeds, they would not appear in front. If he wished to prophesy that beings would be born in hell, they would not appear on the soles of his feet. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as animals, they would not appear on the heels of his feet. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as pretas, they would not appear on his toes. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born as humans, they would not appear on his knees. If he wished to prophesy that they would become powerful wheel-turning kings, they would not appear on the palm of his left hand. If he wished to prophesy that they would become wheel-turning kings, they would not appear on the palm of his right hand. If he wished to prophesy that they would be born in the heavens, they would not appear on his navel. If he wished to prophesy that they would attain the Bodhi of a Hearer, they would not appear on his face. If he wished to prophesy that they would attain the Bodhi of a Solitary Buddha, they would not appear on the hair between his eyebrows. If he wished to prophesy that they would attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, they would not appear on the crown of his head. Then those rays of light circumambulated the Blessed One three times, and disappeared on the crown of the Blessed One's head. Then the venerable Ananda, with his palms joined, asked the Blessed One: "Various lights, interwoven with a thousand colors, many have come forth from your mouth, they illuminate all directions, just as the rising sun does." Again, he requested in verse: "Free from noise, abandoning pride and displeasure, the Buddha is the supreme source for beings, the victorious conquerors of enemies, without any cause or condition, a smile like the root of a lotus and the color of a conch shell."

Show. Steadfast, with your wisdom, you know the timing, Those who seek tranquility, the king, the listeners, I pray that the supreme words of the Victorious One, the best of beings, be firm, And that the doubts of the virtuous be dispelled. Like the ocean and the king of mountains, steadfast, The protectors, the fully enlightened Buddhas, usually do not show a smile. For what reason does the hero show a smile? Most people want to hear it from you. The Blessed One said: Kungawo, it is just so. It is just so. Kungawo, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddhas, do not smile without a cause or reason. Kungawo, do you see this non-Buddhist devotee showing me such respect? Venerable one, I see it. Kungawo, this non-Buddhist devotee, completely giving away the roots of virtue, the mind of enlightenment, and the Dharma to be given, will diligently practice for three countless eons, attain enlightenment, be tamed by great compassion, perfect the six paramitas, Endowed with the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three unmixed mindfulnesses, and the great compassion, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, named Immovable Tathagata, will appear in the world. The Dharma of his giving is this, which makes my heart exceedingly joyful. After the Blessed One said this, Those monks rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. The so-called king refers to the kings, great ministers, wealthy people, people of the palace retinue, merchants, captains, gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas who revered, respected, honored, and made offerings to the Buddha, the Blessed One. The gods, nagas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas worshipped and knew the Blessed One.
