是行持佛法之人，是供养之处，请您想想让我没有忧愁的方法。婆罗门们说：国王您为何事而忧愁，请告诉我们。我们将尽力使国王您没有忧愁。国王说：月光国王他因功德而远近闻名，大家都对他恭敬侍奉，唯独我没有功德之名，如果能让那个国王消失我就高兴了，你们有什么办法吗？婆罗门们听到这样的吩咐后，各自互相说道：这位月光国王具有慈悲心，恩泽遍布一切众生，对于贫困者也如同父母一般。我们即使到了临终之时，也没有谁能加害于他啊！这样说着，连生计也不顾了，各自离开了。毗摩塞那国王听到这些话后，更加不高兴了，这样宣布道：无论是谁，为了我的缘故，砍下月光国王的头颅来，我就分给他一半的国土，并且把女儿也嫁给他。当时，在山崖之上，有个名叫勒吾岱匝的婆罗门听到了这些话，来到国王所在的地方，非常高兴地说：我能够按照国王您的意愿去完成。国王说：如果真能完成，哪天动身呢？婆罗门说：请给我路上的干粮，我七天之后就回来。那个婆罗门在七天之内念诵守护自己身体的咒语，向国王行礼告辞，然后踏上旅途离开了。当时，月光国王的国土中出现了各种不祥之兆，大地全部裂开，闪电交加，星辰坠落，日夜颠倒，国土昏暗，雷声轰鸣，冰雹降落，天降霹雳，许多鸟儿在天空中发出悲鸣，然后自己从空中坠落，老虎、豹子、豺狼、猛兽和鹿等四处奔跑跳跃，发出不悦耳的声音，八万四千个小国的君主梦到大国王的金制胜幢倒塌。

Being a practitioner of Dharma, being a place of offering, please think of a way to make me free from sorrow. The Brahmins said: For what reason is the king troubled, please tell us. We will do our best to make the king free from sorrow. The king said: King Moonlight is famous everywhere for his virtues, and everyone reveres and serves him. Only I have no name for virtue. If that king could disappear, I would be happy. Do you have any way? After hearing such instructions, the Brahmins said to each other: This King Moonlight has compassion, his grace covers all beings, and he is like a parent to the poor. Even if we reach the time of death, no one can harm him! Saying this, they left without even considering their livelihood. King Vimasena, hearing these words, became even more unhappy and announced: Whoever, for my sake, cuts off the head of King Moonlight and brings it to me, I will give him half of the kingdom and also marry my daughter to him. At that time, on a mountain cliff, a Brahmin named Leu Deza heard these words and came to where the king was, and said very happily: I can fulfill your majesty's wishes. The king said: If you can really accomplish it, on what day will you set off? The Brahmin said: Please give me provisions for the road, and I will return in seven days. The Brahmin recited mantras to protect his body for seven days, bid farewell to the king, and then embarked on his journey and left. At that time, various ominous signs appeared in the kingdom of King Moonlight: the earth cracked open, lightning flashed, stars fell, day and night were reversed, the kingdom was dim, thunder roared, hail fell, lightning struck, many birds cried mournfully in the sky and then fell from the sky, tigers, leopards, jackals, beasts of prey, deer, etc. ran and jumped around, making unpleasant noises, and the rulers of eighty-four thousand small kingdoms dreamed that the golden victory banner of the great king had collapsed.

欢喜踊跃，顶礼之后，问道：您不累吗？并说：您想要什么财物呢？是土地吗？是王位吗？是城市吗？是妻子吗？是男儿吗？是女儿吗？是珍宝吗？是车辆吗？是大象吗？是骏马吗？是七宝吗？是宫殿吗？是男仆吗？是女仆吗？是 служащий 的人吗？凡是想要的，我都布施。婆罗门说：外在受用之布施，虽能增长布施之福德，然不能成为大布施。若布施身体之血肉，乃福德之最上。我为求国王之头颅，故远道而来。若不违背您的心意，请行布施。如此祈请后，国王听闻此言，无比欢喜。婆罗门说：若您要赐予我头颅，请指示何时赐予。国王说：就在七日之后，我将头施予你。之后，大臣月亮大士拿着七宝所造的头颅前来，在婆罗门面前五体投地，说道：国王的头颅乃是血肉和骨头，是不净之物，要来何用？用这些七宝之头颅来代替这个头颅吧。用这些七宝之头颅，您一生都将富裕。婆罗门说：我不需要这些，我需要国王的头颅，请满足我的愿望。月亮大士用各种方法祈求，但都无法说服，被悲伤压倒，昏厥过去，心脏碎裂成七瓣而去世。当时，那位国王派遣一位大臣，骑着能日行百千由旬的大象，向所有小国宣告：七日之后，月光国王将把头颅布施给婆罗门，所有想见证的人都请尽快前来。当时，八万小国王立即赶来，来到国王面前，五体投地，祈请道：赡部洲的一切众生，都因国王的恩德而安乐，没有损害。为了一个人而舍弃一切众生，是不合理的。

Filled with joy and elation, he prostrated and asked, "Are you not weary?" and said, "What wealth do you desire? Is it land? Is it a kingdom? Is it a city? Is it a wife? Is it a son? Is it a daughter? Is it jewels? Is it a vehicle? Is it an elephant? Is it a horse? Is it the seven precious things? Is it a palace? Is it a male servant? Is it a female servant? Is it a serving person? Whatever you desire, I will give it all." The Brahmin said, "The giving of external enjoyments increases the merit of giving, but it does not become a great giving. If the giving of the flesh and blood of the body is the supreme of merit, then I have come this long way to seek the king's head. If it does not go against your mind, please give it." Having thus requested, the king, hearing these words, became incomparably joyful. The Brahmin said, "If you are to grant me your head, please instruct when you will grant it." The king said, "In seven days, I will give you my head." Then, the minister Great Moon brought heads made of the seven precious things and, prostrating before the Brahmin with his belly to the ground, said, "The king's head is flesh and blood and bone, it is impure, what is the use of it? Let these heads of the seven precious things replace this head. With these heads of the seven precious things, you will be wealthy for a lifetime." The Brahmin said, "I do not need these, I need the king's head, please fulfill my wish." Great Moon pleaded in various ways, but could not persuade him, and overwhelmed by sorrow, he fainted, his heart breaking into seven pieces, and he passed away. At that time, that king sent a minister riding an elephant that could travel a hundred thousand yojanas, and proclaimed to all the small kingdoms, "In seven days, King Moonbeam will give his head to the Brahmin, all who wish to witness it should come quickly." At that time, eighty thousand small kings immediately arrived and, coming before the king, prostrated with their bellies to the ground and pleaded, "All beings in Jambudvipa are happy and without harm due to the king's kindness. It is unreasonable to abandon all beings for the sake of one person."
