With gentle speech, he thoroughly elucidated and taught the sacred Dharma. Having heard this, many attendants generated unsurpassed bodhicitta and abided in the irreversible stage. Some attained fruition, and countless others accumulated merit to be born as gods and humans. On the following day, the householder Tsinda invited the Buddha. On that day, the Blessed One entered the samadhi of loving-kindness, emitting rays of light like the color of gold, filling the entire great thousandfold world system with light. All those sentient beings touched by the light had their minds of the three poisons pacified, and compassion arose. All sentient beings became as loving and close to each other as parents, elder brothers, or younger brothers. After that, he taught various kinds of Dharma, so that generating unsurpassed bodhicitta, abiding in the irreversible stage, attaining fruition, and accumulating roots of virtue to be born as gods and humans were also countless. On the following day, King Shuntsida invited the Buddha. On that day, the Blessed One sat on a lion throne, and emitted two rays of light from the tongue of his body, rising about seven cubits above his body. On top of each of these, there was a lotus. Emanated Buddhas manifested on the lotuses. Light also arose from the tongues of those emanation Buddhas, splitting into two forms and rising about seven cubits. There were also lotuses, and emanation Buddhas sat on top of the lotuses. In this way, gradually, similar manifestations emanated throughout the great thousandfold world. All the many attendants saw such sights and were amazed. The Blessed One taught them the Dharma appropriately, so that generating unsurpassed bodhicitta, abiding in the irreversible stage, attaining fruition, and being born as gods and humans were also countless. On the following day, King Udayana invited the Buddha. King Udayana scattered flowers to the Blessed One, and the scattered flowers immediately transformed into twelve hundred and fifty jeweled chariots, appearing in every corner of the three thousand great thousandfold world system, and all

They also saw it. Thereafter, the Blessed One, like administering medicine to a sick person, taught the sacred Dharma according to their individual capacities. Some of them generated the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi, abiding in the irreversible stage, and countless were also born as gods and humans. The next day, King Rupadhara invited the Buddha. The Blessed One said to the king, "King, prepare food vessels! When the time for eating arrives, all the vessels will be filled with various kinds of food with a hundred flavors, enough for all the many attendants. After they eat, their bodies and minds will become very comfortable." Then, when the Blessed One struck the ground with his hand, countless sentient beings in the eighteen hells were seen experiencing suffering. They each said, "What kind of evil deeds have we done in the past, that we have to experience such suffering?" All the many attendants heard and saw this, and all of them developed a compassionate heart, becoming so frightened that their hairs stood on end. The Blessed One taught them the Dharma according to their individual capacities, and their minds were satisfied. Some of them generated the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi. Some of them remained in the irreversible stage, and countless also planted the roots of virtue to be born as gods and humans. Those hell beings, due to seeing the Buddha and hearing the Dharma, developed a very faithful mind. After they passed away, they were all born as gods and humans. Then, King Rupadhara knelt on both knees and prayed to the Blessed One, saying, "Blessed One, you possess the thirty-two excellent marks. If it is possible, please show the attendants the thousand-spoked wheel mark on the soles of the Tathagata's feet." At the king's request, the Blessed One stretched out his feet and showed all the many attendants the thousand-spoked wheel mark on the soles of his feet. All the attendants saw the thousand-spoked wheel mark on the soles of his feet, as clear as a painting, and they wanted to look at it without getting tired of it. They developed a particularly joyful mind.
