རྗེས་སུ་ཡི་རངས་ནས་མངོན་པར་དགའོ། །ལུས་བཙོངས་ནས་མཆོད་པ་བྱས་པའི་ལེའུ་སྟེ་བཞི་པའོ།། །། ལྔ་པ། རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་དྲིས་པའི་ལེའུ། འདི་སྐད་བདག་གིས་ཐོས་པའི་དུས་གཅིག་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མཉན་ཡོད་ན་རྒྱལ་བུ་རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཚལ་མགོན་མེད་ཟས་སྦྱིན་གྱི་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་ན་བཞུགས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ཡུལ་དེ་ཉིད་ན་ཚོང་པ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་ཙམ་ཞིག་རྒྱ་མཚོར་རིན་པོ་ ཆེ་ལེན་དུ་འགྲོ་བ་དེ་དག་གིས་འདི་ལྟར་བགྲོས་སོ། །བདག་ཅག་གིས་མིའི་ནང་ན་མཁས་ཤིང་ཤེས་པ་ཞིག་དེད་དཔོན་དུ་བསྲེའོ་ཞེས་བགྲོས་ནས། དགེ་བསྙེན་ཁྲིམས་ལྔ་པ་ཞིག་ཁྲིད་དེ། རྒྱ་མཚོར་ཞུགས་སོ། །རྒྱ་མཚོའི་དབུས་སུ་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་། རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷ་དེ་སྲིན་པོ་ཞིག་ཏུ་སྤྲུལ་ནས། ལུས་གཟུགས་ཤིན་ཏུ་མི་སྡུག་ཅིང་། སྔོ་ལ་གནག་པ། མཆེ་བ་གྱེན་དུ་བྱུང་བ། མགོ་ལ་མེ་འབར་བ་ཞིག་དྲུང་དུ་འོངས་ནས་གྲུ་འདི་ང་ལ་བྱིན་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་ཏེ། ཚོང་པ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་དྲིའོ། །འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་གང་དག་འཇིགས་སུ་རུང་བ་ང་ལས་འདའ་བ་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པ་དང་། དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་བས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ལྷག་པར་འཇིགས་པ་ཡོད་དོ། །རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་སྨྲས་པ། དེ་ལྟ་བུ་སུ་ཞིག །དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་གླེན་པ་གཏི་མུག་ཅན། མི་དགེ་བའི་ལས་རྣམས་བག་མེད་པར་བྱེད་པ་སྲོག་གཅོད་པ་དང་། མ་བྱིན་པར་ལེན་པ་དང་། འདོད་པས་ལོག་པར་གཡེམ་པ་དང་། བརྫུན་དུ་སྨྲ་བ་དང་། ཚིག་འཁྱལ་པ་སྨྲ་བ་དང་། ཕྲ་མ་དང་། ཞེ་གཅོད་པའི་ཚིག་སྨྲ་བ་དང་། འདོད་ཆགས་དང་། ཞེ་སྡང་ཆེ་བ་དང་། ངན་པར་ལྟ་བ་དག་ཚེ་འཕོས་ནས་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བར་སྐྱེ་སྟེ། སྡུག་བསྔལ་རྣམ་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་མྱོང་བ་རྣམས་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བའི་སྲུང་མས་ཁྲིད་དེ། ལ་ལ་ནི་མཚོན་གྱིས་དམྱལ་ཞིང་གཏུབས། ལ་ལ་ནི་ཤིང་རྟས་ཕན་ཚུན་དུ་དྲངས་ནས་ཁམས་ཚད་དུ་བཅད། ལ་ལ་ནི་གཏུན་གྱིས་བརྡུངས། ལ་ལ་ནི་རང་ཐག་གིས་བཏགས། ལ་ལ་ནི་རལ་གྲིའི་རི་ལ་འཛེགས། ལ་ལ་ནི་མིའི་ཤིང་རྟ་དང་ཟངས་ཁོལ་བ་དང་ཆབ་རོམ་དང་ངན་སྐྱུགས་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་བསྐོལ་བ་ལ་སོགས་པ། སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་མི་བཟད་པ་རྣམ་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དག་ལོ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་གི་བར་དུ་མྱོང་བ་དེ་ནི། ཁྱོད་བས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡང་ལྷག་པར་འཇིགས་སུ་རུང་ངོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་ཐོས་ནས་དེ་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་མི་སྣང་བར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཡང་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ནང་དུ་སོང་བ་ལས། རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷ་དེ་མིའི་ནང་ནས་ཤིན་ཏུ་རིད་ཅིང་ཉམ་ཐག་པ་རྩ་དང་རུས་པ་ཙམ་འདྲེལ་པ་ཞིག་ཏུ་སྤྲུལ་ནས་གྲུ་འདི་ང་ལ་བྱིན་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲ་ཞིང་དེ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་དྲིའོ། ། འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་རིད་ཅིང་ཉམ་ཐག་པ་ང་ལས་ལྷག་པ་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པ་དང་། དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་པས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ལྷག་པར་ཉམ་ཐག་ཅིང་རིད་པ་ཡོད་དོ། །རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་སྨྲས་པ། དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དེ་སུ་ཡིན། དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། གང་གླེན་ཞིང་གཏི་མུག་ཅན་རང་བཞིན་གྱིས་འཇུངས་ཞིང་སེར་སྣ་བྱེད་ལ། འདོད་པས་ཕྲག་དོག་བྱེད་ལ་སྦྱིན་པ་མི་ཤེས་པ་དག་ཚེ་འཕོས་ནས། ཡི་དགས་སུ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། ལུས་ནི་རི་བོ་ཙམ། མགྲིན་པ་ནི་མོ་ཁབ་ཙམ་དུ་གྱུར་ཏེ། སྐྲ་འཛིངས་པ་གནག་ཅིང་རིད་པ། ལོ་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་གི་བར་དུ་ཆུའི་མིང་ཡང་མི་ཐོས་པ་དེ་ནི་ཁྱོད་བས་ཀྱང་ཤིན་ཏུ་ལྷག་པར་རིད་དོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་མི་སྣང་བར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་ཡང་སོང་སོང་བ་ལས་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷ་དེ་མིའི་ནང་ནས་གཟུགས་བྱད་ཤིན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ་ཞིག་ཏུ་སྤྲུལ་ནས། གྲུ་འདི་ང་ལ་བྱིན་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་ཏེ། ཚོང་པ་དག་ལ་འཇིག་རྟེན་མིའི་ནང་ན་ང་ཙམ་དུ་གཟུགས་བྱད་བཟང་ལ་མཛེས་པ་ཡོད་དམ། དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་བས་བརྒྱ་འགྱུར་སྟོང་འགྱུར་གྱིས་ལྷག་པར་བཟང་བ་ཡོད་དོ། །རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་བས་ལྷག་པར་བཟང་བ་དེ་སུ་ཞིག །དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་མཁས་པ་བློ་དང་ལྡན་པ། དགེ་བ་བཅུ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ། ལུས་དང་ངག་དང་ཡིད་ཀྱི་ལས་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པས། དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་དད་པ། ཅི་འབྱོར་པ་དེས་མཆོད་པ་བྱེད་པའི་བློ་ཅན་དེ་ནི། ཚེ་འཕོས་ནས་མཐོ་རིས་ཀྱི་ལྷར་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། གཟུགས་བྱད་ལེགས་པར་ཤིན་ཏུ་སྡུག་པ་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཛེས་པ། དེ་ནི་ཁྱོད་བས་བརྒྱ་འགྱུར་སྟོང་འགྱུར་གྱིས་ལྷག་སྟེ། ཁྱོད་དང་དེ་གཉིས་བསྐྲུན་ན། སྤྲེའུ་ཞར་མ་དང་བཀྲ་ཤིས་མ་བསྐྲུན་པ་དང་འདྲའོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་ཆུ་སྙིམ་པ་གང་བཅུས་ནས་དགེ་བསྙེན་དེ་ལ་སྙིམ་པ་གང་གི་ཆུ་མང་ངམ། རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཆུ་མང་། ཞེས་དྲིས་པ་དང་། དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྙིམ་པ་གང་གི་ཆུ་མང་གི་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཆུ་ནི་མང་བ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱེད་འདི་སྐད་དུ་སྨྲས་པའི་ཚིག་དེ་བདེན་པ་ཡིན་ནམ། དགེ་བསྙེན་གྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཚིག་ འདི་ནི་བདེན་པ་ཡིན་གྱིས་བརྫུན་པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ། །བདེན་པར་ཅིར་མངོན། སྨྲས་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཆུ་མང་མོད་ཀྱི། གདོན་མི་ཟ་བར་སྐམ་པའི་དུས་ཡོད་དོ། །བསྐལ་པ་མེས་འཇིག་ཏུ་ཉེ་བ་ན་ཉི་མ་གཉིས་ཤར

随喜而显现欢喜。出卖身体而供养的章节，第四（品）。 第五（品）。海神提问的章节。 如是我闻。一时，世尊在舍卫城（Shravasti，位于今印度北方邦）的祇陀林给孤独园（Jetavana Anathapindika-arama）居住。当时，那个地方有五百名左右的商人，他们为了去海里取宝，就这样商议道：我们要在人们当中选一个聪明有知识的人做首领。商议之后，他们带了一个持守五戒的居士，进入了大海。到了大海中央，海神化作一个罗刹，身体极其丑陋，青黑色，獠牙向上，头上燃烧着火焰，来到他们面前说：把这条船给我吧。然后问商人说：世间有什么比我更可怕的吗？居士说：有比你更可怕的。海神说：那是谁？居士说：世间的愚人，愚昧无知，肆无忌惮地做不善业，杀生、不予而取、邪淫、妄语、恶口、离间语、粗恶语、贪婪、嗔恨、邪见之人，死后会投生到地狱，遭受各种痛苦。地狱的狱卒会把他们带走，有的用兵器砍杀，有的用车辆来回碾压，肢解身体，有的用杵捣，有的用绳子捆绑，有的攀登刀山，有的在人粪车、沸腾的铜汁、冰雹和呕吐物中煮熬等等。像这样极其难忍的各种痛苦，要经历成百上千年的时间。这比你还要可怕得多。海神听到后，立刻消失了。他们又进入大海，海神变成了一个人，在人群中极其瘦弱憔悴，只剩下皮包骨

Having rejoiced, they manifested joy. The chapter on offering by selling the body is the fourth. Fifth. The chapter on the questions of the Sea God. Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in Anathapindika's Grove in Jeta's Grove in Shravasti. At that time, in that very country, about five hundred merchants were going to the ocean to collect jewels, and they discussed as follows: 'Let us choose someone wise and knowledgeable among the people to be our leader.' After discussing this, they took a layperson who observed the five precepts and entered the ocean. When they reached the middle of the ocean, the Sea God transformed himself into a Rakshasa, with an extremely ugly body, bluish-black, with fangs pointing upwards, and flames burning on his head. He came before them and said, 'Give me this boat!' Then he asked the merchants, 'Is there anything in the world more terrifying than me?' The layperson said, 'There is something more terrifying than you.' The Sea God said, 'Who is that?' The layperson said, 'The fools in the world, ignorant and foolish, recklessly committing unwholesome deeds, such as killing, taking what is not given, engaging in sexual misconduct, lying, speaking harsh words, divisive speech, abusive language, being greedy, hateful, and holding wrong views, will be reborn in the hells after death, experiencing various kinds of suffering. The guards of the hells will lead them away, some will be slaughtered and cut with weapons, some will be dragged back and forth by carts, their bodies dismembered, some will be pounded with pestles, some will be tied with ropes, some will climb mountains of swords, some will be boiled in carts of human excrement, boiling copper, hail, and vomit, and so on. Such various kinds of extremely unbearable suffering will be experienced for hundreds of thousands of years. That is far more terrifying than you.' When the Sea God heard this, he immediately disappeared. Again, they went into the ocean, and the Sea God transformed into a person, extremely thin and emaciated among the people, with only skin and bones remaining.

幻化成一个乞丐，说道：“把这艘船给我吧。”并这样问他： “世上还有比我更瘦弱、更可怜的人吗？” 居士回答说：“有比你更可怜、更瘦弱的人。” 海神问道：“那样的人是谁？” 居士说：“那些愚蠢、无知、天生吝啬、悭贪，因欲望而嫉妒，不懂得布施的人，死后会转生成饿鬼，身体像山一样大，喉咙却像针眼一样细，头发蓬乱、黝黑、干枯，几百年来连水的名字都听不到，他们比你还要瘦弱得多。” 话音刚落，海神就消失了。 然后，海神又幻化成人间相貌最好的人，说道：“把这艘船给我吧。” 并问商人们：“人间有像我这样相貌英俊美丽的人吗？” 居士回答说：“有比你俊美成百上千倍的人。” 海神问道：“比我更俊美的人是谁？” 居士说：“世间有聪明、有智慧、行持圆满十善业、身语意三业清净、对三宝无比虔诚、用自己所有供养的智者，他们死后会转生到天界，相貌端庄、非常美丽、非常漂亮，他们比你俊美成百上千倍。创造你和他们，就像创造了一只瞎眼猴子和一个吉祥天女一样。” 然后，海神用手捧起一捧水，问居士：“是一捧水多，还是海水多？” 居士说：“是一捧水多，海水不多。” 海神说：“你这样说的话是真的吗？” 居士说：“这话是真的，不是假的。 怎么证明是真的呢？ 虽然海水很多，但也有被鬼怪吞噬而干涸的时候。 劫末火灾来临时，会出现两个太阳。

Transforming into a beggar, he said, "Give me this ship." And he asked him this: "Is there anyone in the world more emaciated and miserable than me?" The layman replied, "There are those who are even more miserable and emaciated than you." The sea god asked, "Who is that?" The layman said, "Those who are foolish and ignorant, naturally stingy and miserly, jealous of desire, and do not know how to give, after death, are reborn as hungry ghosts. Their bodies are as large as mountains, but their throats are as thin as needle eyes. Their hair is disheveled, dark, and withered. For hundreds of thousands of years, they do not even hear the name of water. They are much more emaciated than you." As soon as he finished speaking, the sea god disappeared. Then, the sea god transformed into the most handsome person among humans and said, "Give me this ship." And he asked the merchants, "Is there anyone in the human world as handsome and beautiful as me?" The layman replied, "There are those who are a hundred or a thousand times more handsome than you." The sea god asked, "Who is more handsome than me?" The layman said, "In the world, there are wise and intelligent people who practice the ten virtuous deeds perfectly, whose actions of body, speech, and mind are completely pure, who have immense faith in the Three Jewels, and who use whatever they have to make offerings. After they die, they are reborn as gods in the heavens. Their appearance is well-formed, extremely beautiful, and very handsome. They are a hundred or a thousand times more handsome than you. Creating you and them is like creating a blind monkey and a goddess of good fortune." Then, the sea god scooped up a handful of water and asked the layman, "Which is more, a handful of water or the water of the ocean?" The layman said, "A handful of water is more; the water of the ocean is not more." The sea god said, "Is it true what you say?" The layman said, "This word is true, not false. How is it shown to be true? Although the water of the ocean is much, there are times when it is devoured by demons and dries up. When the fire of the end of the kalpa is near, two suns will appear.
