ཡུམ་ཁྱེད་གཉིས་ན་རེ་ཀླུ་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་དག་ནི་ཆེ་བར་གྲགས་པ་ཡིན་ཏེ། ཆེ་བར་གྲགས་པ་ཡིན་པས་ན་འདི་དག་གི་ལུས་ལ་ཀླུའི་བྱེ་མ་མི་འབབ་བོ་ཞེ་ན། འདི་ན་བདག་ཅག་པས་ཆེས་ངན་པ་གཞན་དག་ཀྱང་ཡོད་ན། ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་དེ་དག་ལ་ནི་ཀླུའི་བྱེ་མ་མི་འབབ་ལ་བདག་ཅག་ལ་ནི་འབབ། ཕ་མ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། དེ་དག་ནི་བདག་ཅག་བས་ཆེས་ངན་མོད་ཀྱི། འོན་ཀྱང་དེ་དག་གིས་ནི་སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ་བ་དང་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་བླངས་པས་ན། དེའི་ཕྱིར་དེ་དག་གི་ལུས་ལ་ཀླུའི་བྱེ་མ་མི་འབབ་བོ། །དེ་ནས་དེ་ཐོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་བུ་དེ་ཤིན་ཏུ་དགའ་བར་གྱུར་ཏེ། སྨྲས་པ་ཡབ་ཡུམ་དེ་དག་གི་སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ་བ་དང་བསླབ་ པའི་གཞི་རྣམས་ག་ལས་བྱུང་། དེ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཡུལ་དབུས་འདིར་སངས་རྒྱས་བྱུང་སྟེ། དེ་ནི་བདུད་རྩིའི་ཆར་འབེབས་པས། དེ་ལས་དེ་དག་གི་སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ་བ་དང་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་རྣམས་བྱུང་ངོ་། །ཀླུའི་བུ་དེས་སྨྲས་པ། ཡབ་ཡུམ་བདག་མཆི་བར་གནང་བར་མཛོད་ཅིག་དང་། གང་དག་གི་མཐུས་བདག་གི་ལུས་ལ་ཀླུའི་བྱེ་མ་འབབ་པར་མི་འགྱུར་བའི་སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ་བ་དང་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་དེ་དག་བདག་གིས་བླང་བར་བགྱིའོ། །ཕ་མས་སྨྲས་པ། བུ་མ་ལེན་ཅིག །ལྷན་ཅིག་སྐྱེས་པའི་བྱེ་མའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་འདི་ནི་ཆུང་གི །སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ་བ་དང་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་དེ་དག་བླངས་པ་ལས་མ་བསྲུངས་ན། གཞི་དེ་ལས་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བ་དང་དུད་འགྲོ་དང་ཡི་དགས་སུ་སྐྱེས་ནས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཆེན་པོ་རྣམས་མྱོང་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། སྡུག་བསྔལ་འདི་ནི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་འདིའི་བརྒྱའི་ཆར་ཡང་མི་ཕོད་སྟོང་གི་ཆར་ཡང་མི་ཕོད་འབུམ་གྱི་ཆར་ཡང་མི་ཕོད་དོ། །ཀླུའི་བུས་སྨྲས་པ། ཡབ་ཡུམ་བདག་གི་ལྷན་ཅིག་སྐྱེས་པའི་བྱེ་མའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་འདི་ཞི་བར་འགྱུར་བ་འབའ་ཞིག་གི་ཕྱིར་ཡང་ཅི་ནུས་ཀྱིས་བསྲུང་བར་བགྱིའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས། ཀླུའི་བུ་དེས་ལྷའི་མེ་ཏོག་ཨུད་པ་ལ་དང་པད་མ་དང་ཀུ་མུ་ད་དང་པད་མ་དཀར་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཐུ་བ་བཀང་སྟེ། རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོའི་ནང་ནས་མི་སྣང་བར་གྱུར་ནས་རྒྱལ་བུ་རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཚལ་དུ་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་། དེའི་ཚེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་འཁོར་བརྒྱ་ཕྲག་དུ་མའི་ནང་ན་ཆོས་སྟོན་ཅིང་བཞུགས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ཀླུའི་བུ་དེས་ཐག་རིང་པོ་ཞིག་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མཛེས་ཤིང་ཡིད་དུ་འཐད་པ་དབང་པོ་དུལ་བ་ཐུགས་ཞི་བ་ཐུགས་དུལ་ཞིང་རྣམ་པར་ཞི་བའི་མཆོག་དང་ལྡན་པ། གསེར་གྱི་མཆོད་སྡོང་ལྟར་དཔལ་དང་གཟི་བརྗིད་འབར་བ་མཐོང་ངོ་། །མཐོང་ནས་ཀྱང་མཆོག་ཏུ་ད

你们两位说，这些大龙是出了名的。因为出了名，所以这些龙的身上不会落下龙沙吗？这里我们之中也有更坏的，为什么它们身上不落龙沙，而我们身上却落呢？父母说：它们比我们更坏，但是它们已经皈依并发愿了，因此它们的身上不会落下龙沙。听到这些话后，那个孩子非常高兴，说道：父母啊，它们的皈依和发愿是从哪里来的？他们两个说：在这个中部地区出现了佛陀，他降下了甘露之雨，因此它们才有了皈依和发愿。龙子说：父母啊，请允许我去，我将接受那些能使我的身体不落龙沙的皈依和发愿。父母说：孩子，不要去！与生俱来的沙子的痛苦是小的。如果皈依和发愿之后没有守护好，那么从那个基础上，众生会堕入地狱、畜生和饿鬼，遭受巨大的痛苦。这个痛苦连这个痛苦的百分之一、千分之一、万分之一都比不上。龙子说：父母啊，为了仅仅平息我与生俱来的沙子的痛苦，我也会尽力守护的。说完，龙子用天上的花朵乌达拉、莲花、睡莲和白莲花装满了容器。从大海中隐身，去了胜军王子的花园。那时，世尊正在无数眷属中说法。然后，龙子从远处看到了佛陀世尊，他美丽而令人愉悦，根门调伏，内心寂静，内心调顺且具有极度的寂静，像金色的宝塔一样光彩夺目。

You two said that these great dragons are famous. Because they are famous, won't dragon sand fall on these dragons' bodies? Here among us, there are others who are even worse, why doesn't dragon sand fall on them, but it falls on us? The parents said: They are worse than us, but they have taken refuge and vows, therefore dragon sand does not fall on their bodies. After hearing these words, that child was very happy and said: Parents, where did their refuge and vows come from? The two of them said: In this central region, a Buddha has appeared, he is raining nectar, therefore they have refuge and vows. The dragon son said: Parents, please allow me to go, I will take those refuges and vows that will prevent dragon sand from falling on my body. The parents said: Child, don't go! The suffering of the sand that is born with you is small. If you don't protect yourself after taking refuge and vows, then from that basis, beings will fall into hell, animals, and hungry ghosts, and experience great suffering. This suffering is not even one percent, one thousandth, or one hundred thousandth of this suffering. The dragon son said: Parents, even for the sake of merely pacifying the suffering of the sand that I was born with, I will try my best to protect it. After saying that, the dragon son filled the container with heavenly flowers, Utpala, lotus, water lily, and white lotus. He disappeared from the great ocean and went to Prince Victory's garden. At that time, the Blessed One was teaching the Dharma among countless retinues. Then, from afar, the dragon son saw the Buddha, the Blessed One, who was beautiful and pleasing, with subdued senses, a peaceful mind, a tamed mind, and possessing supreme tranquility, shining with splendor and glory like a golden stupa.

生起了欢喜，生起欢喜之后，就到世尊那里，到了之后，用天上的优钵罗花、莲花、姑母达花和白莲花等供养世尊，以头顶礼世尊的双足，从世尊那里领受了皈依和学处，为了听法，就坐在世尊的面前。之后，他的龙的沙砾消失了，他心想：世尊消除了我的许多痛苦和不适，并让我获得了各种各样的快乐和舒适，我该如何报答世尊的恩德呢？如果世尊允许我，我将尽我一生，用一切资具侍奉佛陀等比丘僧团。想着，就从座位上站起来，将袈裟搭在一边的肩膀上，向世尊所在的方向合掌，对世尊这样说道：我希望终生与比丘僧团一起供养衣服、食物、卧具、坐垫、医药和药品。请世尊允许我。世尊说道：你也需要利益其他的年轻人，放了吧。之后，世尊在舍卫城安居，对具寿阿难陀说道：阿难陀，你去告诉比丘们，如来将前往摩揭陀国游化，谁想与如来一起游化，就准备好法衣和钵。之后，世尊在舍卫城住了多久感到高兴，之后就前往王舍城游化。之后，那个龙子心想：虽然世尊没有允许我终生用一切资具侍奉，但我将在这条路上用一切资具侍奉佛陀等比丘僧团。想着，就将袈裟搭在一边的肩膀上，向世尊所在的方向合掌，对世尊这样说道：

Joy arose. Having arisen joy, he went to where the Blessed One was. Having gone, he scattered heavenly flowers such as utpala, lotus, kumuda, and white lotus to the Blessed One. He bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One. Having received refuge and the precepts from the Blessed One, he sat before the Blessed One to listen to the Dharma. Then, his dragon's gravel disappeared. He thought, "The Blessed One has removed many of my sufferings and discomforts, and has made me obtain various kinds of happiness and comfort. How should I repay the kindness of the Blessed One? If the Blessed One allows me, I will, for as long as I live, serve the Sangha of monks, including the Buddha, with all necessities." Thinking this, he rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, and, facing the direction where the Blessed One was, folded his palms and said to the Blessed One, "I wish to offer robes, food, bedding, cushions, medicine, and medical supplies together with the Sangha of monks for as long as I live. May the Blessed One grant me permission." The Blessed One said, "You also need to benefit other young people, let it go." Then, the Blessed One stayed in Shravasti for the summer retreat. He said to the venerable Ananda, "Ananda, go and tell the monks that the Tathagata will go wandering in the land of Magadha. Whoever wants to wander with the Tathagata should prepare their Dharma robes and bowl." Then, the Blessed One stayed in Shravasti for as long as he pleased, and then went wandering to Rajagriha. Then, that dragon son thought, "Although the Blessed One did not allow me to serve with all necessities for as long as I live, I will serve the Sangha of monks, including the Buddha, with all necessities on this path." Thinking this, he draped his upper robe over one shoulder, and, facing the direction where the Blessed One was, folded his palms and said to the Blessed One:
