Now, having built a complete monastery, he offered it to the Sangha of monks, including the Buddha Kashyapa, and having served the monks with all necessities, and having served his parents, he went forth in the doctrine of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Kashyapa. Having gone forth, he learned the three pitakas and became a speaker of the Dharma endowed with the eloquence of knowledge and liberation. Then he thought: Whatever is to be heard, that I have done. Now I should strive for meditation. Thinking thus, he received the instruction of mindfulness, and dwelling in diligence, not sleeping at dusk and dawn, he developed the samadhi of loving-kindness. There he practiced celibacy for one lifetime, and at the time of death he made the aspiration: Alas, by this root of virtue that I have given alms, done good deeds, gone forth, and practiced celibacy for one lifetime in the doctrine of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Kashyapa, may I be born in a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family wherever I am born, and may I be beautiful, pleasing to look at, beautiful, and of unparalleled appearance. May I please the Buddha Bhagavan who is the Brahmin boy prophesied by the perfectly enlightened Buddha Kashyapa, and may I not displease him. May I go forth only in his doctrine, abandon all defilements, and realize the state of Arhat. Monks, what do you think? The Bhikshuni who went forth in the doctrine of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Kashyapa at that time is this Kashi Beautiful Lady, who gave alms there, did good deeds, practiced celibacy for one lifetime, and at the time of death made the aspiration: Wherever I am born, may I be born in a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family, and may I be beautiful, pleasing to look at, beautiful, and of unparalleled appearance. May I please the Buddha Bhagavan who is the Brahmin boy prophesied by the perfectly enlightened Buddha Kashyapa.

May they make him pleased, may they not make him displeased. Having gone forth in that very doctrine, having abandoned all defilements, may he realize the state of an Arhat. As a result of the maturation of the deeds done, wherever he is born, he is born into a lineage that is rich, wealthy, and has great enjoyment. He is born with a good form, pleasing to see, beautiful, and with an unparalleled appearance. Monks, I have attained the same perfect enlightenment as the Buddha of Light and Sound, the same power, the same deeds, and the same skillful means. This one has pleased me, and has not displeased me. Having gone forth in my own doctrine, having abandoned all defilements, he has realized the state of an Arhat. Because he generated the Samadhi of loving-kindness there, as a result of the maturation of that deed, wherever he is born, he has an unparalleled appearance. The Hundred Deeds, Volume Three, named "The Giver of Joy." The basis of the story is that the Buddha was residing in Shravasti. At that time, King Light ruled in Shravasti, and in Varanasi, a king named Brahma-datta ruled. The two were not in harmony with each other, and from time to time they caused many people to be killed. Then, later, King Brahma-datta assembled an army of four divisions and went to the land of Kosala, and camped on the bank of the river Khang-ldan, having set up camp. King Light also heard that King Brahma-datta had assembled an army of four divisions and had come to fight with him. Having heard this, he also assembled an army of four divisions and went to fight with the king of Kashi, and also camped on the bank of the river Khang-ldan, having set up camp. Then, as the two of them were camped there, they caused many people to be killed. Both of them were very powerful and difficult to overcome, and the two of them could not defeat each other and remained there. Then, later, while they were staying there, King Light had a daughter born who was beautiful, pleasing to see, and beautiful. The king of Kashi, Brahma-datta, had a son who was beautiful,
