འི་ཐོས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་གྱུར་ཅིག །དེ་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པའི་འོག་ཏུ་ཡང་ཐོས་པའི་མཛོད་རྒྱས་པར་བྱེད་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག་ཅེས་བྱས་སོ། །གཅིག་གིས་ཀྱང་ཀྱེ་མ། ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་ཤཱཀྱའི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་མཆོག་དེ་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པའི་འོག་ཏུ་བདག་གིས་དེའི་བསྟན་པའི་དོན་བྱེད་པར་ཤོག་ཅེས་བྱས་སོ། །གསོལ་པ། བཙུན་པ་འདི་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་གང་དུ་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་ལགས། བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དགེ་སློང་དག་སྔོན་བྱུང་བ་འདས་པའི་དུས་ན། བསྐལ་པ་བཟང་པོ་འདི་ཉིད་ལ་སྐྱེ་དགུའི་ཚེ་ལོ་ཉི་ཁྲི་ཐུབ་པ་ན། ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རིག་པ་དང་ཞབས་སུ་ལྡན་པ། བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ། འཇིག་རྟེན་མཁྱེན་པ། སྐྱེས་བུ་གདུལ་བྱའི་ཁ་ལོ་སྒྱུར་བ། བླ་ན་མེད་པ། ལྷ་དང་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སྟོན་པ་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་འོད་སྲུང་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་འཇིག་རྟེན་དུ་བྱུང་སྟེ། དེའི་གསུང་རབ་ལ་དགེ་སློང་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ནས། དེ་སུ་ལས་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་བ་དེ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་འོད་སྲུང་གིས་ཐོས་པ་འཛིན་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན་ཏོ། །དེས་དེར་ཚེ་གཅིག་ཏུ་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ་སྤྱད་ནས་འཆི་ཀར་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པ། ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་འོད་སྲུང་གིས་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་བླ་མ་ལུང་བསྟན་པ་གང་ཡིན་པའི། སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་དེ་བདག་གིས་མཉེས་པར་བྱེད་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག །མི་མཉེས་པར་བྱེད་པར་མ་གྱུར་ཅིག །དེ་ཁོ་ནའི་བསྟན་པ་ལ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ནས་ཉོན་མོངས་པ་ཐམས་ ཅད་སྤངས་ཏེ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཉིད་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་བྱེད་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག །ཇི་ལྟར་བདག་གི་མཁན་པོ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་འོད་སྲུང་གིས་ཐོས་པ་འཛིན་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན་པ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་བདག་ཀྱང་། ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་ཤཱཀྱའི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་མཆོག་དེས་ཐོས་པ་འཛིན་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བསྟན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག། དེ་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པའི་འོག་ཏུ་ཡང་བདག་གིས་ཐོས་པའི་མཛོད་རྒྱས་པར་བྱེད་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག་ཅེས་བྱས་སོ། །དགེ་སློང་དག་ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས། དེའི་ཚེ་དགེ་སློང་དུ་གྱུར་པ་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ནི་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་འདི་ཁོ་ན་ཡིན་ཏེ། དེས་དེར་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པ་དེས་ན། དགེ་སློང་དག་ང་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་འོད་སྲུང་དང་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཉམ་པ་དང་། ཤུགས་མཉམ་པ་དང་། མཛད་པ་མཉམ་པ་དང་། ཐབས་མཉམ་པ་བརྙེས་པར་གྱུར་ནས། འདིས་ང་མཉེས་པར་བྱས་ཏེ་མི་མཉེས་པར་མ་བྱས་ལ། ང་ཉིད་ཀྱི་བསྟན་པ་ལ་རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་ནས་ཉོན་མོངས་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་སྤངས

愿成为听闻者中的佼佼者。在那完全寂灭之后，也愿使听闻之宝藏得以增长。其中一位也曾这样说：唉！愿我能在释迦牟尼，释迦族之王的至尊者完全寂灭之后，做他的教法之事。请问：这两位尊者在哪里发愿呢？世尊开示说：比丘们，过去世，在这个贤劫中，众生的寿命能活到两万岁时，圆满正等觉的佛陀，具足明行足，善逝，世间解，调御丈夫，无上士，天人导师，佛陀薄伽梵名为光藏如来出现在世间。他的教法中，比丘阿难出家了。他从谁出家，那位圆满正等觉的光藏如来将他示为听闻者中的佼佼者。他在那里一生行持梵行，临终时发愿：愿我能令圆满正等觉光藏如来所预言的婆罗门童子欢喜。不要令他不欢喜。愿我仅在那位的教法中出家，断除一切烦恼，现证阿罗汉果。如同我的堪布圆满正等觉光藏如来将我示为听闻者中的佼佼者一样，我也愿被释迦牟尼，释迦族之王的至尊者示为听闻者中的佼佼者。在那完全寂灭之后，我也愿使听闻之宝藏得以增长。比丘们，你们怎么想？那时成为比丘的那位就是阿难本人。因为他在那里发愿的缘故。比丘们，我获得了与圆满正等觉光藏如来极其相同，力量相同，事业相同，方便相同的果位。他令我欢喜，没有令我不欢喜，仅在我自己的教法中出家，断除了一切烦恼。

May I become the best of those who hear. After that complete Nirvana, may I also increase the treasury of hearing. One of them also said: Alas! May I, after the complete Nirvana of Shakyamuni, the supreme of the Shakya kings, do the work of his teachings. Asked: Where did these two venerable ones make their aspirations? The Blessed One said: Monks, in the past, in the past, in this very fortunate kalpa, when the life of beings could reach twenty thousand years, the perfectly complete Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, the Knower of the World, the Tamer of Men, the unsurpassed, the teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha Bhagavan named Light Treasury appeared in the world. In his teachings, the monk Ananda became a renunciate. From whom he became a renunciate, that perfectly complete Buddha Light Treasury showed him as the best of those who hold the hearing. He practiced celibacy there for one lifetime, and at the time of death, he made the aspiration: May I please the Brahmin boy prophesied by the perfectly complete Buddha Light Treasury. May I not displease him. May I only become a renunciate in his teachings, abandon all defilements, and realize the state of Arhat. Just as my Khenpo, the perfectly complete Buddha Light Treasury, showed me as the best of those who hold the hearing, so may I also be shown by Shakyamuni, the supreme of the Shakya kings, as the best of those who hold the hearing. After that complete Nirvana, may I also increase the treasury of hearing. Monks, what do you think? The one who became a monk at that time was none other than this Ananda. Because he made the aspiration there. Monks, I have attained the same, the same power, the same deeds, and the same means as the perfectly complete Buddha Light Treasury. He pleased me and did not displease me, and only became a renunciate in my own teachings, abandoning all defilements.

Then one will realize the state of Arhat directly. This also I have declared as the best of those who uphold the precepts, and even after my complete Nirvana, the upholding of precepts will flourish even more. Monks, the monk Light Protector also went forth in the teachings of the Tathagata Samyak-sambuddha Light Protector himself. From whom he went forth, that Tathagata Samyak-sambuddha Light Protector has become the best of those endowed with the qualities of practice. Having practiced celibacy there for one lifetime, at the time of death he made the aspiration: Thus, although I have practiced celibacy for one lifetime in the teachings of the Tathagata Samyak-sambuddha Light Protector, I have not obtained any accumulation of merit, may the Buddha Bhagavan, the Brahmin boy prophesied by the Tathagata Samyak-sambuddha Light Protector, please me, and may he not displease me. May I go forth only in his teachings, abandon all defilements, and directly realize the state of Arhat. Thus, my preceptor, the Tathagata Samyak-sambuddha Light Protector, just as he is said to be the best of those endowed with the qualities of practice, may I also be said by Shakyamuni, the best of the kings of the Shakya clan, to be the best of those endowed with the qualities of practice.
