In the world, one becomes like a victory banner, and friends, ministers, relatives, and in-laws are respectful, regard one as a lama, make paintings of one, and offer to one. In all directions and intermediate directions, one's fame, speech, sound, and verses appear. One becomes beautiful and pleasing to behold. In other rebirths, one becomes long-lived and dwells long. One becomes famous for great power, is born into a noble family, has great wealth, is born in the heavens, and quickly attains complete nirvana. These ten are the benefits of offering a victory banner to a stupa of the Tathagata. There are twelve benefits of offering clothes to a stupa of the Tathagata. What are the twelve? One becomes beautiful and pleasing to behold. One's skin becomes smooth. One's skin becomes oily. One's skin becomes thin. Dust and dirt do not accumulate on one's body, and one's clothes become good. One obtains cushions and fine garments. One becomes endowed with shame and embarrassment. One becomes pleasing to see. One has great wealth. One is born in the heavens. One attains complete nirvana. These twelve are the benefits of offering clothes to a stupa of the Tathagata.
