I see an area completely filled with the color red, not very far from Jambudvipa. There are many fish there, and most of it is blood. They kill each other to survive, even devouring themselves. Because there is so much blood there, the water is also red. Because it appears red everywhere, this sea is called the Red Sea. Far beyond that, there is an ocean called the Blue Sea, which has a breadth of seven thousand yojanas. All the rivers are filled with fish and are very deep. Further on, there is an ocean called the Jewel Island, which has a breadth of three thousand yojanas. There are mountains and jewels, with golden sand, stones, Kashyaka stones, Musaragalva stones, pearl powder, coral trees, a large number of Sukuri, and many jewels. There is a tree there called "emitting sweet poison," and the fruits it bears, whether eaten by birds or people belonging to Jambudvipa, will cause death on the seventh day. The birds that eat these fruits also die. Further on from the Jewel Island, there is an ocean called the Salt Sea, which has a breadth of seven thousand yojanas, filled with large fish, Shukati, turtles, Nakra, crocodiles, dragons, and birds, occupied by Rakshasas and flesh-eating ghosts, making it very terrifying. There are white corals growing in the water, and mountains submerged in the water. It is surrounded by five hundred islands that encircle Jambudvipa. The main places in Jambudvipa are: those with golden land, those with jewel stones, Ketaka, Malika Continent, conch shells, pearls, the origin of Mekala, plowshares, those related to asceticism, Samantabhadra forests, peacock forests, fragrant garlands, three-horned ones, Good Army, Sela Shetu, and the Rakshasas who definitely reside in the city of Lanka, and the mountains.

And necessarily abiding in both, the Vilaka of Mount Sumeru, and necessarily abiding on the mountain, conch shells, red pearls, swirling snow, and surrounded by gravel together with silver, without roads, and surrounded by five layers of iron mountains such as gold, the place of trees, and surrounded by female trees, those are for the bipeds. How those continents become special, they surround the entire Jambudvipa. Seven thousand yojanas are delightful, and the mountains are as before. Furthermore, the yogi dwells observing the body with the external body. How much is the measure of the light of these sun and moon? He sees with the wisdom born from hearing or with the divine eye, the four sides of Mount Sumeru and the four directions of the human realm, and the four places of the human realm, and those are illuminated by these sun and moon. The ocean also extends eighty-four thousand yojanas from that side of the mountain, half of which is illuminated. Half is completely pervaded by extremely terrifying darkness. On the other side, there are thirty-six million kotis in circumference, the adamantine nature of the fire of karma, which is extremely difficult to endure, blazing extremely, there exists a mountain called the Chakravada Mountain, if the water in the ocean becomes long, it will turn into milk. How close it is, those will turn into yogurt. Yogurt will also turn into curd. How close it is to complete contact, this curd will also turn into melted butter. Those melted butters will be burned by those hellfires. Similarly, water will also submerge this earth. Similarly, this is also the desire realm. The yogi will understand as it is. The yogi, with the wisdom of knowing, seeing, and fully understanding as it is, whether something is constant, stable, enduring, completely unchanging dharma, or we, who are without beginning and end, the cycle of rebirth.

Those who are inferior enjoy the division of the fruits of karma, and they themselves are tormented by the fruits of karma. Even in hundreds and thousands of times, they die and transmigrate, and they have not seen even one place where they have not been born. Constantly and continuously, as it is, by looking at the inner and outer bodies, and also the inner and outer bodies, one will not be attached to the body. One will also not be robbed by sounds, tastes, colors, smells, and touches that have become miserable. Thus, the Brahmins and householders of Lati City, and the monks who are diligent in mindfulness of the body, do not dwell near the demon. Thus, having heard of mindfulness of the body, many have also broken through the eye-cloud of the view of the perishable aggregates, and the eye of the Dharma has arisen for the unsurpassed Dharmas. Monks, how shall I show mindfulness of the body? Those who speak are those. Monks, those mountains and mountain ranges, mountain caves and cemeteries, and places without cover, meditate on piles of grass and sod. Do not dwell with carelessness. Do not regret it at the time of death later, this is your subsequent instruction. When the Blessed One had spoken thus, those monks rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. The mindfulness of the body is complete. The thirty-six thousand noble and sacred Dharma mindfulnesses, called the Great Vehicle Sutra, are complete.
