Then he rejoices together with those goddesses. Furthermore, in other places, such as fragments of blue beryl, and in places covered with various flowers, he rejoices. Thus, due to the good deeds he has done, and in accordance with the five kinds of musical instruments, he experiences many desirable heavenly pleasures. That monk, having realized the heavenly bliss through the wisdom arising from hearing, then spoke in verses as follows: The power of the five senses, thus clings to the five objects. Even if desire does not arise for a moment, it does not satisfy the objects. Among all objects, there is only one, here it seems only women. Having overwhelmed all objects, the fire of desire blazes greatly. Gathering and not gathering, death and talking, all arise from women, fire burns this person. Fire burns when gathered, does not burn when not gathered, burns when gathered, and even when not gathered, the gods' fire of desire blazes. That fire's object does not exist, and it does not burn when far away. The fire of desire is the same whether near or far, it burns with unbearable joy. Dry wood of constant thought arises, endowed with the power of joyful swaying, this burning ghee and wick, the fire of desire burns with joy. Like this, fire burns one body, having burned it, it becomes completely pacified. The fire of desire, which is not separated from name and form, does not become pacified. For the unbearable fire that burns, beings do not rejoice, the fire of desire, even if very sharp, does not arise in people's minds. Arising from the five senses, this is obscured by the five objects. Craving is like the power of wind, the fire of desire burns beings. Arising from the churning stick of thought, it is completely nourished by the objects, the body is burned like wood, but that is not seen by people. Just as the fire of desire, burns with intense burning, so the taint of desire, is completely relied upon as pleasure. Fire is extremely bright, but the fire of desire is obscured by darkness, therefore, like poison and enemies, firmly abandon the fire of desire. Thus, monk

Seeing these, one feels compassion for the gods who are burned by the fire of desire. For those belonging to the rule of the gods, one also recognizes those faults and no longer craves. Thus, in a fragrant place, various kinds of happiness are experienced as long as that detestable desire, the pleasant and good deeds, are not exhausted. Afterwards, one dies from that world of the gods. After death, if one is not born in hell, among the hungry ghosts, and among animals because of the karma to be experienced in other lifetimes, but is born among humans with the same fate as humans, then due to similar causes, one will often obtain a place of happiness and will see oneself becoming very wealthy. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, contemplates the abode of the third Paranirmita-vasavartin gods. Through the knowledge gained from hearing, he sees how the abode of the gods called 'Melodious' exists. Thinking about which beings will be born there, he observes through the knowledge gained from hearing, those who have practiced good deeds, who possess mindfulness and correct views, if they speak a single verse to those who hold wrong views, and those people also briefly generate faith in the Buddha in their minds, then they will separate from their bodies and be born in the happy realm of the higher heavens, among the Melodious gods. Having been born there, enjoying the pleasures of the senses, they delight in playing on the shores of the divine lake. They delight in the rows of lotus gardens, delight in dwelling on the golden mountain and playing the music of the gods. They are surrounded by goddesses who possess various forms and postures, are full of smiles, greatly enjoy coquetry, are beautiful in appearance, and possess unparalleled power. Always abiding in happiness as if it were a single day, they increase greatly and dwell on the peaks of the lapis lazuli mountains. Enjoying various kinds of happiness, adorning their bodies with garlands of flowers, powders, and ointments, they rejoice there. They delight in many kinds of realms, dwelling on Mount Meru and in vast mountain clearings, they rejoice in the golden mountains and gardens, where there are golden mountains like these.
