. The ocean of heretics has dried up. Attachment, hatred, and ignorance have been completely destroyed. The side of non-dharma has declined. The side of the sacred Dharma has greatly increased. Samsara is being destroyed, and we are extremely happy to hear these things. Thus, the sound of the sacred Dharma spreads from one to another in the realm of the gods of clear light. That bhikshu is diligent in effort, his mind is virtuous, unwavering, and steadfast. He is unshakeable and of an upright nature. Thus, his virtuous fame spreads far and wide, preceding the city of Nirvana. Then, the bhikshu, knowing the ripening of the fruits of karma, truly knows the ripening of the dharma of the karma of sentient beings in hell, and also truly knows the length of life and the measure of remaining life of one hundred and thirty-six kalpas of sentient beings in hell, and then contemplates the second destination. In short, he contemplates the thirty-six forms of pretas. He contemplates the reality of those arranged in order. Through the knowledge gained from hearing, he sees thirty-four million forms of animals. Like this, the beings of the five realms are dependent on the mind, and mostly all have various appearances, shapes, behaviors, and foods, with harmonious, disharmonious, hateful, non-hateful, friendly, unfriendly, cohabiting, and non-cohabiting kinds. Among them, those with wings include: herds of deer, flocks of birds, crows and swans, and so on. Those that are harmonious and disharmonious include: foxes and dogs, and so on. Those that are hateful and non-hateful include: crows and owls, horses and buffaloes, snakes and mongooses, and so on. Therefore, he contemplates through the knowledge gained from hearing, which living beings will change their appearance, shape, behavior, and food? Like this, the minds of sentient beings are diverse, sentient beings are interdependent, create various kinds of karma, and their actions are also diverse.

It will also turn into various kinds of food. Then, thinking about what causes harmony and disharmony, he examines those actions in detail and investigates with the wisdom gained from hearing. If someone becomes a person and is skilled at speaking about treatises of wrong views, and another arrogant person also speaks about evil treatises, then the hearing of these two people is meaningless, not happiness, and not going to a good destination. If these two people like each other because of evil treatises, evil causes, and evil views, then after they die, they will be born among the hell beings. If they are born among animals, then at that time, the causes of harmony and disharmony will lead to extreme hatred of each other, such as snakes, mongooses, horses, buffaloes, crows, and owls. Then, the monk, with the wisdom of knowing the ripening of karmic results, contemplates the animal world, thinking about what causes and what actions will cause animals to become friends who enjoy together? Then, he investigates with the wisdom gained from hearing. If a benefactor who is very attached to samsara makes a vow like this: "By this action, even if I am born in other animal realms, you will become my family, and I will become your wife," and then gives alms. Then, after he dies, he will fall from the evil realms and be born among the happy animals, such as the causes created by magpies, sparrows, and swans, and will like sexual intercourse. Then, the monk, with the wisdom of knowing the ripening of karmic results, contemplates the disharmony of foxes and so on, thinking about what causes will lead to being born as foxes and dogs? Then, he investigates with the wisdom gained from hearing. If someone steals the delicious food of the virtuous and those with discipline, and is always greedy, and has a lot of greed, then after he dies, he will fall from the evil realms and be born among the animals, and will see foxes and so on fighting each other and arguing extremely. Then, the monk, with the wisdom of knowing the ripening of karmic results, contemplates deer and so on.

Then, he observes with the wisdom born of hearing, that in a past life, as a human, whoever made noise with conch shells and drums, driving away people from villages, cities, and marketplaces, and caused fear to others with that sound, that person, upon death, falls into evil destinies, falls into the animal realm, and will be born in hell. After being liberated from that, he will be born among wild animals. By the power of that karma, the mind will always be fearful, and just as villages, cities, and marketplaces were driven away to become monasteries, he will also live in monasteries or forests. If he is born as a human with the same fate as people, with the same karma and cause, he will always be fearful, his mind will be very weak, and his mind will be ignorant. He briefly observes the animal world, and will become an animal with many nets. Likewise, the rest also become inconsistent with each other due to the power of karma, this is what is seen. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of karmic fruits, observes the animal world, wondering which of those spontaneously born beings he will be born as. He observes with the wisdom born of hearing, that in a past life, as a human, in order to make silk, he boiled worms in water. When those worms are boiled, countless other spontaneously born worms called "clusters" will be born, and if those tiny worms are burned for the sake of offering sacrifices, that person, upon death, falls into evil destinies and will be born in the hells of sentient beings. After being liberated from that, he will become a spontaneously born animal, and it is seen that he will become various forms such as silk worms. Then, the monk, knowing the ripening of karmic fruits, observes the animal world, wondering which of those moisture-born animals he will be born as. He observes with the wisdom born of hearing, that an evil person with wrong views, for the sake of wealth, digs the earth to put in a large number of killed fish, turtles, and animals, and likewise digs the earth to put in otters and other animals, and there, moisture-born worms
