Furthermore, this practice of patience that is inseparable from characteristics should also be regarded as the patience that nourishes and fully ripens sentient beings for the Bodhisattva. Similarly, it will also cut off the stream of desire. Son of good family, furthermore, the Bodhisattva should properly examine how, when anger arises, it can be exhausted from the root of afflictions. When the eye sees an appearance of form, pleasing, inferior, or close, the feeling towards it is like a bubble of water, without manifest joy, but rather the feeling that arises. Towards this, the Bodhisattva should also properly contemplate. Just as the eye is empty of the eye, and the eye is empty of form and consciousness, up to as previously explained. The momentary destruction, the exhaustion of formations, the limit of anger in the three times, is empty of that, up to without appearance, the limit of anger is empty of that, namely the anger of the three times, the object and so forth. From anger having no abiding place, up to attachment arising towards the appearance of the form of the angry one, and up to the separation of the feeling of anger and the two graspers. Regarding the arising of the basis of anger towards the form of the angry one, and the arising of feeling like a bubble of water, exhaustion, and destruction, these should also be regarded as patience, up to what is called the impermanence of formations. Similarly, from the ear hearing sound, up to the mind knowing dharma, when the mind perceives unpleasant and unbeautiful dharmas, the basis of anger will arise, and all the feelings that arise along with it will also arise. Towards this, the Bodhisattva should also properly contemplate the basis of anger, how these are from the formless, up to what has not been said. Just as the sky has no anger and no scolding, so too is the basis of anger. The pacification of the consciousness, towards this there is no anger and no scolding, and no attachment to anything, and the basis of anger of all the three realms, feeling impermanence, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, and patience inseparable from characteristics, practicing these, is also the Bodhisattva's patience that nourishes and fully ripens all sentient beings is perfected.

Noble son, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva sees any and all forms, internal or external, with their eyes, they perceive that whatever forms arise in the past, future, or present are not real, and they are completely obscured by various kinds of conceptualization. They fixate on the objects of desire and hatred as permanent, pleasurable, enduring, self, and immutable. With the three realms as their object, the thieves of affliction arise and increase. Gathering together all three realms, they approach duality, draw near, accept, bless, and become attached, fixating on and clinging to countless and immeasurable causes and conditions. They do not reveal that these are by nature impermanent, suffering, empty, and without self. They do not even closely contemplate arising, cessation, and destruction. They fixate on self, life, sustenance, and person, presuming permanence and annihilation. With regard to internal and external conditions, they also fully understand the aggregates, elements, and sense bases as they truly are. They fixate on the arising of causes, results, actions, and ripening, and they fully understand with and without discrimination, disturbed and undisturbed, pacified, and truly understanding, just as they are, and they are separated from feelings of pleasure and pain. Because the faculty of wisdom has not arisen, this conceptualization of dharma is neither painful nor a feeling of pleasure. Therefore, the Bodhisattva should examine all internal and external characteristics, and whatever appears as the characteristic of form, as reality and suchness. As previously explained, in the objects of desire and hatred, one should observe in this way: Is it permanent? Is it momentary destruction? Is it permanent? Is it impermanent? Is it pleasure? Is it suffering? Is it self? Is it without self? And all the actions of the three realms, the stream of afflictions is not extinguished, without cause, the stream without a master is not extinguished, separated from duality, not arising, fully understanding in a way that does not cling. And all the three realms, the suffering of the three times.
