I am fresh, without oldness, of the nature of impermanence, equal to space, and pervading space. Whatever is wind is not space. Whatever is space is not wind, because they are mixed together, but not mutually within the scope of action. Both are empty, inexpressible, and without characteristics. They are without decrease and without increase. Abiding on this shore and the other shore, and truly transcending the edge, are the bodily fabrications. Therefore, the bodily fabrications do not abide in consciousness, there is no assembly, no pervasive movement, no true gathering, no basis and no true connection. Consciousness is the basis and the true connection, even up to this point. Then, what are the verbal fabrications? They are thinking and pondering. What is thinking? It is that which causes the breath to enter and exit, which is followed by the mind. Therefore, thinking thinks with thinking, even thinking with the characteristics of destruction. Thinking thinks with complete purity. Those thoughts that rely on the wind arise. Up to the point of negation. The winds of thought are momentary and wavering. The winds will not become thoughts, because the two are not mutually within the scope of action, and there is no characteristic between them, even to the point of being inexpressible and non-existent like space. Then, what is pondering? Pondering is that which, in the form of cold or warmth, causes the winds of inhalation and exhalation of the entire body to move. Pondering gathers and does not distinguish touch, those ponderings are not mutually within the scope of action with the winds, and there is no characteristic between them, even to the point of being inexpressible. Then, what are the mental fabrications? Mental fabrications are perception and thought. Then, what is perception? It is the mind that knows those dharmas in that way, even when inhaling, there is no exhaling.
