Like Mount Sumeru. Diligence that is difficult to destroy is like a vajra jewel. Patience that does not waver is like the great earth. Profound contemplation is like a secret treasure. Beautiful with equanimity is like a sacred garland of flowers. Wisdom that is deep and vast is like the great ocean. In any case, not being attached is like the sky. Approaching the cause of the supreme fruit is like a blooming flower. Subduing the heretics is like a lion king. Completely destroying the demons of the gods is like a dragon or an elephant. Cutting off all the enemies of afflictions is like the sword of the gods. Being weary of many disturbances is like a Pratyekabuddha vehicle practitioner. Washing away the stains of afflictions is like water and lime. Eliminating unclean dirt is like a strong wind. Cutting off the gaps of all afflictions is like a sharp weapon. Protecting from all fears and shyness is like a relative or friend. Protecting from the enemy of attacks from others is like a moat or castle. Liberating from all suffering is like parents. Hiding the weak and feeble is like a dense forest. Walking on a long summer road is like a cool, shady tree. For those tormented by heat and thirst, it is like cold water. For the hungry, it is like delicious fruit. Making clothes to wear for the naked. For those afflicted by heat, it becomes dense clouds. For the poor, it becomes a wish-fulfilling jewel. Without harming the roots of virtue of many sentient beings, it shows the supreme realm of practice, making the retinue happy and satisfied. Encouraging and guiding sentient beings to be more cautious and ashamed. Making the accumulation of merit and wisdom and so on have its adornment. For completely eliminating afflictions, it becomes like emetics and laxatives. Gathering the disturbed mind is like the realm of practice of equanimity. Gathering is like attachment to a beautiful image. Patience is steadfast like Mount Sumeru. Form is profound and vast like the great ocean. The feet of miraculous power are unobstructed like the sky. Completely eliminating all habitual tendencies of obscurations is like the hot sun melting ice. Constantly delighting in meditation and the formless, and the correct path, becoming like a precious and sacred island of omniscient wisdom, even without deliberately creating, one thoroughly turns the great wheel of Dharma. Son of good family, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha, possessing such immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable distinctions of qualities, together with his retinue, is approaching this place, therefore such miracles and omens have been previously shown from the light. As soon as the Bhagavan had spoken of the many qualities of the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, at that time the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha, together with a retinue of eighty billion nayutas of Bodhisattvas, manifested in the form of renunciants through the power of miracles, and came from the south to the presence of the Bhagavan. Together with many attendants, he touched the two feet of the Bhagavan with his head, prostrated, circumambulated three times, and then, with palms joined before the Tathagata, standing, he praised with these verses: Leader, supreme among the two-legged. Protecting all with a loving heart. Like the great earth, extremely patient. Eliminating all anger and wrathful thoughts. Possessing supreme marks and signs. Adorning all Buddha-fields. Practicing austerities for a long time. Having heard of practicing austerities for a long time. Also giving rise to a mind of fear. Generating generosity, ethics, patience, and.
