I. Amra and Spai fruits, etc., from the initial sprouting of shoots until they have not become the nature of fruit, are rightly regarded and counted as unstable dharmas. They also do not accomplish the deeds of sentient beings. Once they become the nature of being free from the peel, they accomplish the deeds of sentient beings, and are rightly regarded and counted as the dharma of stable seeds. Similarly, all dharmas are practiced inconsistently, and until this samadhi is attained, they are rightly regarded and counted as unstable dharmas. They also do not become the protectors of sentient beings. Once they become free from all the afflictions of views, doubts, the notion of complete liberation from suffering, impermanence, and the unstable nature, from then on they will cut off all the doubts of sentient beings and become protectors. They also become the seeds of the nature of permanence, steadfastness, stability, and peace, and can also be placed in the minds of sentient beings. Great Cloud Essence, again, for example, like the essence of oil from sugarcane, sesame, mustard, barnyard millet, cow's milk, etc., from the sprouting of shoots and the production of milk until they have not become the essence of oil itself, they are rightly regarded and counted as unstable dharmas. They also do not accomplish the deeds of sentient beings. Similarly, all dharmas are practiced inconsistently, and until this samadhi is attained, they are rightly regarded and counted as unstable dharmas. They also do not become the protectors of sentient beings. Once they become free from the afflictions of views, doubts, the notion of complete liberation from suffering, impermanence, and the unstable nature, and become the nature of being smeared, from then on they will cut off all the doubts of sentient beings and become protectors. They also become the seeds of the nature of permanence, steadfastness, stability, and peace, and can also be placed in the minds of sentient beings. Great Cloud Essence, again, for example, like a blacksmith of base metals or copper

A blacksmith, or a blacksmith of clay and gold, or anyone else who makes jewels, from well kneading soil, stones, tiles, gravel, and so on. Destroyed, starting from making pottery, until it has not become the nature of any object, or before it has become a jewel, it is rightly regarded and counted as the impermanent Dharma. It also cannot accomplish the affairs of sentient beings. After becoming the nature without gravel, tiles, and pottery, it can accomplish the affairs of sentient beings. It is also rightly regarded as the nature of jewels, which is firm, stable, and constant Dharma. Similarly, all Dharmas are practiced inconsistently, and until this samadhi is not attained, it is rightly regarded as the impermanent Dharma. It also cannot become the protector of sentient beings. From views, doubts, and the consciousness of complete liberation from suffering, and the nature of freedom from all the faults of afflictions of impermanence and unstable nature. From then on, it can cut off all the doubts of sentient beings, and also become a protector. It also becomes the seed of the nature of constancy, firmness, stability, and peace, and can also be placed in the consciousness of sentient beings. Great Cloud Heart Essence, again, for example, the old skin of an old snake, until it has not shed, it is rightly regarded as the impermanent Dharma. Similarly, all Dharmas are practiced inconsistently, and until this samadhi is not attained, like the old skin of an old snake, it is rightly regarded as the impermanent Dharma. From views like the old skin of an old snake, doubts, and the consciousness of complete liberation from suffering, and the nature of freedom from all the faults of the skin of afflictions of impermanence and unstable nature, from then on, it can cut off all the doubts of sentient beings, and also become a protector. It also becomes constant, firm, stable, peaceful, cool, happy, and without fear, and can also place sentient beings in this practice of samadhi of the consciousness of self and sentient beings.

Therefore, Cloud Great Essence, a Bodhisattva abiding in this Samadhi, if a son or daughter of good family wishes to truly see self, sentient beings, life, and person through these five aspects, then they should contemplate in this way. Those who do not contemplate in this way, I say they do not see truly. I say that those sentient beings are of worldly nature and of ignorant nature. Question: For what reason does the Blessed One Tathagata say that these five similes are that very nature? If the Tathagata speaks thus, then please grant the reason for this. This also becomes a great contradiction for sentient beings. Why is that? The Blessed One has also taught that all worldly affairs are of impermanent nature. For example, the five similes, grains, trees, etc., having become fruits, how can they not decay again? If they decay, then sentient beings also decay, and thus, all phenomena should also be truly regarded as impermanent. I say thus: What decays is born again. I say thus: I do not discriminate sentient beings in two ways; those who die here will take separate rebirths elsewhere. Therefore, I say thus: all phenomena are impermanent, and in this world, no permanent phenomenon has ever been truly seen. If it is so, then both the meanings of permanent and impermanent do not exist, I say thus. However, the word "laughingstock" also comes from the mouth of the Blessed One. The Blessed One taught: Cloud Great Essence, do you think like a silkworm spinning a cocoon to bind itself? Here, someone says, "Alas, your face is like the moon," taking the simile from the moon; another person says, "Alas, the elephant king is like a mountain," taking the simile from the mountain. Will the moon become like a face? Will the mountain become like an elephant? It should be said so. Question: This is for the sake of simile. Teaching: Cloud Great Essence, the simile of steadfastness.
