Thus, the Tathagata said to me: "Where do the desire, hatred, and ignorance of ordinary beings arise from?" Having said this, Manjushri, I said to the Tathagata: "The desire, hatred, and ignorance of ordinary beings arise from the realm of the inconceivable." Having said this, Manjushri, the youth, asked the Blessed One: "Blessed One, why is the realm of the inconceivable inconceivable?" The Buddha replied: "Manjushri, it is by dwelling in the non-place called 'no place' that the desire, hatred, and ignorance of ordinary beings arise." Manjushri, I also said to the Tathagata, the All-Protecting One: "Where does the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, the All-Protecting One, rely on to manifest the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment?" Having said this, the Tathagata said to me: "It is by relying on the place where the uninterrupted actions of ordinary beings arise that I manifest the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment." Having said this, Manjushri, the youth, asked the Blessed One: "Where do the uninterrupted actions of ordinary beings arise from?" The Blessed One replied: "Manjushri, the uninterrupted actions of ordinary beings arise from non-existence." Manjushri, for example, if a person dreams of catching a venomous snake in his sleep, and he is bitten by the snake, he will die from it, or he will suffer just from being close to death, and wake up from the feeling of approaching death, and immediately after waking up, he knows that the feeling of suffering he experienced does not exist, Manjushri, what do you think? Was that person bitten by the venomous snake?" Replied: "Blessed One, no."

It is not so, Manjushri. Manjushri, what do you think? Did that person suffer before being caught? He replied: Blessed One, it is not so. Why is that? Blessed One, there is no venomous snake there, and Blessed One, there is nothing to be caught, so how could there be feeling and manifestation there? The Buddha said: Manjushri, likewise, all dharmas are non-abiding. How are all dharmas non-abiding? Grasping is the same as that, and feeling is also the same as that. How is feeling? A venomous snake is also the same as that. How is a venomous snake? All dharmas are also the same as that. How are all dharmas? The uninterrupted is also the same as that. How is the uninterrupted? Bodhi is also the same as that. How is Bodhi? Abiding is also the same as that. Having abided in such a way, I awakened to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. That is the question of the correct debate of the mind. Manjushri, furthermore, in the eastern direction, there is a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha named Mount Meru. I said to him: Where does the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha Mount Meru abide to awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? Having said that, Manjushri, the Tathagata Mount Meru said to me: Having abided at the limit of where the earth element, water element, fire element, wind element, and space element abide, I awakened to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Manjushri, furthermore, the Tathagata Mount Meru said to me: Where did the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha, the foremost of the Shakya kings, Shakyamuni, abide to awaken to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment? Having said that, I said to him: Where does the Tathagata Mount Meru abide to show the six realms of beings? Having abided there, I awakened to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. That is the question of the correct debate of the mind.

Manjushri, furthermore, in the eastern direction, there is a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha named Samantapushpa, who currently resides, lives, and exists, and also teaches the Dharma. I said to him: "Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha Samantapushpa, where do you abide to manifest the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment? And how is this Buddha-field manifested?" After I said this, Manjushri, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha Samantapushpa said to me: "I first abided in generating the mind, manifesting the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment. Just as a person of illusion manifests the eight liberations, so too is this Buddha-field manifested." After he said this, Manjushri, the youth, said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, how did that Tathagata Samantapushpa first abide in generating the mind and manifest the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment?" After he said this, the Bhagavan said: "Manjushri, whatever the first mind is, that is also unborn, and the present one is also unborn. Abiding in such a first generation of mind, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha Samantapushpa manifested the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment." Manjushri, furthermore, the Tathagata Samantapushpa said to me: "Where does the Tathagata, the best of the Shakya kings, Shakyamuni, abide to manifest the Unsurpassed Perfect Complete Enlightenment?" That is the question of the mind's true analysis." Manjushri, furthermore, in the eastern direction, there is a Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly
